Tons of guys (myself included) have been picking them up on 39 mo/10k mile per year leases for $300ish/mo with little to no money out of pocket. Mine was $331/mo on a zero drive off for MSRP just under $40k from a local St. Petersburg, FL dealer. Some guys/gals in the midwest/NE (where Camaros do not exactly sell during blizzards) have been getting them in the high 200's. Its pretty crazy. |

The deal that the local dealer offered me was 19K and trading in my 2016 Camaro. The LT1 priced out at a tad over 35K and they were charging me $750 for shipping on top of that along with a hefty dealer fee. My 2016 has only 17K miles and has beautiful 20 X 10 black Stance wheels on it. I might have to try and sell it on my own.....

I'm starting to see LT1's back in transit locally. It seemed like they were shipping 1LE's in Nov, 2SS's in Dec, and now to LT1's for late Dec-Jan. Still not the Poverty spec ones I've been looking for though. I'd rather get a base 1SS than spend high 30's for an LT1.

I have.. yes. Check my history. I have bought 2 RS and 1 LT1 so far. 2017, 2019 and 2020. As far as me being full of Sh!t about the 30%... not really. The 1st one was a 2017 that was bought after being on the lot for over 1 year. Rare, but do your home work. The second was for them to hit a quota I do believe, so I bit. Same car basically but a diff color. That one was more like 25%, but good enough that it worked out after needing tires on the first. The LT1 was a good deal and I wanted a V8... what can I say? Listen. I am just reporting on what I got. If you don't believe me then that is cool... But it is possible to get a LT1 vert for less than 40K and an my first RS Vert was less than 30K, and that had NPP and some other goodies (granted it WAS a 17 that was purchased late in the 18 MY). I'm in Punta Gorda, so not too far away. i see you have an 1LT. Since you want a v8 why don't you just get a low miles 2ss or even 1ss? I bought my 2016 2ss back in sept only 16k miles on it at the local Honda dealer for $31,200. Fully loaded car minus no sun roof or mag ride, otherwise everything on it. Haven't looked the last week but last time I did I still saw 2ss like 2017, 18 going for like 35, 36k. One good thing I notice down here when buying cars like a Camaro, Mustang, or Corvette for example is there are a lot of low mile ones when I was looking. Even 2016 GTs I've seen with under 25k miles. Many Vettes with under 15k. A lot of old guys buy them and don't drive them a lot. Being older they have troubles getting in and out of them and end up trading them in for a SUV. That's what the guy at the dealer I bought it from did they told me which I saw on the carfax it looked like he was a snowbird. Serviced in the summer in PA and winter in FL. Car was flawless. If you're paying that much for an Lt1 I would consider a used low miles 2ss or 1ss. Even though it's used it's still a huge upgrade over the 1LT. also, a few months ago did you look up at the Jenkins Chevy in Venice at all? They had four 2020 Camaro 1SS leftovers for sale and were offering really nice incentives, nearly the same price as your LT1. I considered it but went with the loaded used 1ss and saved 5k. Their prices were VERY good. Selection for new sports cars sux here in SWFL. The dealers don't like to carry alot of Camaro SS or Mustang GTs and when they do it's rag tops or fully loaded and even then they don't carry many. The dealers love carrying big SUVs and trucks though around me. |

I mentioned it above, but if any of you guys are interested in leasing an LT1, the overall cost to drive it for the lease period is very attractive vs. buying right now. If its going to be heavily modified......buy of course :-)
There are a few kicking around in FL still and some dealers which will "play" on moving them out. |

In any case, with leasing (if someone is interested in that approach, which really only makes sense if you dont plan on keeping the car for 10 years and/or modding it like crazy, etc), sometimes it doesnt end up actually costing all that much more for a more well optioned car than the poverty spec ones. |

This is exactly why I bought my 2021 LT1. 17s and 18s with around 30k mules for $36k-$36K. 3-4 year old cars with No warranty or very little left. Mine brand new 34.8 minus about 3 for employee pricing. Add the few options the car has. NPP, Tech Package Sunroof and a few other things and I'm still out the door for less than a 3-4 year old car without warranty. Weekend toy for me so all the "SS upgrades" don't care about. For a daily I would go different with more options. I bought. If you plan on buying out at the end of a lease you'll be in deep. Will the car be worth 64% of MSRP in 39 months? |
