Does your Camaro ever taunt you?

Its hard to explain: Its like riding a thoroughbred race horse and holding them back when all they really want to do is run as fast as they can.

Some days, obviously in colder weather, you feel that extra zip on the gas pedal. But some days, like today, 79 degrees F HUMID AF and my car was taunting me in rush hour traffic knowing I can't accommodate it. Almost like it likes the thicker air.

The gas pedal seemed extra zippy even when I wasn't trying for it to be, I felt like I had extra grip on the rear tires, the slightest gas pedal pressure and the engine would lunge forward like it was expecting a 1320 run.

Do you have days like that where your car seems to have a mind of its own and is ready to go and you have to hold it back because you have to?

Today was one of those days for me. Car was just teasing me. Daring me to hit the gas pedal. Or at least it felt like that. Days like that I wish I was at the dragstrip.

Every time I start it up. By the way, you are holding back 455 thoroughbreds.

Actually my Camaro does this all the time, wanting to run like the devil.

You will always feel more rear tire grip on a very warm day on hot blacktop.

Well it would, when I was younger I've just learned to take it in moderation, and enjoy it on a few occasion where it's responsibly possible.

Keep it safe out there!

Stay off M-14 during rush hour, its enough to make you want to buy a Hummer for just that purpose NOT avoiding said idiots.

Honestly, no. It is way more civilized than my last car. Part of it is that it rides smoother and has less cabin noise but also it just seems very chill. It has no problem blending in until I romp on it. For context my last car was a very modified rice rocket and I think it was the big turbo and ltw fly wheel that made it just bad at going slowly. VVT was disabled and it had low compression, methanol injection, built 5 speed etc. Now a 6 speed, stock clutch and torque everywhere is just downright pleasant lol.

Agreed. What some people do is amazing. I live in an area that has to be one of the worst for drivers in the world. I saw a woman flip her Toyota minivan onto the roof in a mall parking lot at slow speed. But its nice to know you have either 455 or 650hp if needed.

Humidity means there is water in the air. Water doesn't compress. Therefore your compression is slightly increased seeming to give more oomph.
