Yep, I forgot that I unplugged mine prior to a one hour drive (yesterday), ended up with a lot of stop and go traffic. I pulled over in a rest area and plugged it in again. Way to busy, a bit clunky and that mild low speed V4 vibration feel / sound is annoying. With the NPP fuse pulled, the V4 to V8 transition sounds like crap. So overall, I agree much better without AFM.

This thread has been helpful. I had no plans on bypassing AFM but after reading this and other info it seems that engine reliability is greatly improved without AFM. I was looking forward to seeing how it behaved, but not at the sacrifice of reliability given this will be my daily driver.

I still want to know why the 19+ and such are not officially supported with these devices, if they seem to work when used? Yet the company tells you not to (when contacted directly) and it's posted directly on the site that it does not work. At least with the 10-speed.

"The Range AFM/DFM Disabler does NOT work with 2019+ 5.3L and 6.2 10-speed truck/SUV applications. Please check out our Pulsar LT device for those applications.
" Um, the Camaro is not a Truck/SUV application, right? And looking at the Pulsar LT as recommended: "Customize your Silverado or Sierra, all without modifying the factory ECM or voiding your warranty. Refreshed 2022 Models are not supported. They can be identified by the 12th digit of the VIN being '5' or higher." |

So, looking at the info on both products, nothing says the AFM/DFM Disabler doesn't work on a v8 Camaro, and teh suggested replacement for Truck/SUV use specifies the Sierra/Silverado 1500.
Problem solved? |

Sorry, had the wrong warning off the website before.
"The AFM/DFM Disabler is NOT currently compatible with 2019+ 5.3L 10-speed or 6.2L 10-speed models." |

19 is when they added the auto shut off on the trucks and suv. My 2018 Silverado did not have the auto shut off. I think that is why they say don’t use it on those. The camaro dose not have the auto shut off on it and probably why it is working fine for people in the camaro.
