Full front + Roof PPF, and 3M Crystalline tint all around was just installed. Have to wait a couple more days for the tint to completely dry, then I'll install my radar detector and 2-ch dash cam, and put interior dressing on.

Also have to wait an excruciating 10 days before I can touch the PPF, but most likely I am going to cheat, and just tape off the entire front end with plastic wrap, so I can safely wash/decon/clay/polish and coat the unprotected paint. Once the PPF is cured, I'll coat the PPF also.

I think it's just to be on the safe side, but it's pretty common to wait a period of time before it's first wash, etc.

Me either. My installer kept the car for several days because he said it needed to cure overnight once installed. I only had PPF installed on the front and on the mirrors. He did say don't wash it for a day or two, but not 10 days.

Not all today, but installed the aluminum dead pedal cover; Pro Clip phone holder and swapped my personal plate from my MINI to the SS! I’ve had a version of that plate (first white, now black) on 5 cars now dating back 30 years.

Had the following performed this week:
  1. Hood vinyl with the hash mark removed.
  2. Full frontal PPF install.
  3. Spears installed on the hood and sides.
  4. Ceramic coat the new PPF and spears.

All work performed by Shinetek Auto Spa on Long Island. New vinyl graphics from Screamingchicken in Texas.

Before and after pics:

You sound like one of my buddies with the personalized license plate. He has had the same personalized plate on the last ten spots cars he has owned. Of course he only keeps them for about a year before he flips them.
