Limited Slip in 2016 V6 LT?

I am pretty sure that I have a limited slip differential in my 2016 1LT V6, given the grip when taking a corner hard and accelerating and also on wet surfaces. Did all V6's come with limited slip in 2016? Is there a way to confirm all of the options on my car? I bought the car used a few months ago with only 6K miles on it and it did not include the original window sticker.

manuals do.
auto's dont.

Though, I believe you can swap in an auto SS rear diff and axles and keep the rest the same as your stock rear and plug up the rear diff cooler holes and be good since the gearing is the same and SS rear's have lsd too.

for those of us with auto v6's and want lsd.

Thanks I have M6 so I do. It's definitely nice to have LSD, was not expecting it.

Not according to info online. No change there.

You might be confused by the stupid way Chevy has the features list showing the lsd as standard without mentioning that it is a feature that is tied to the standard transmission, which is manual.

Ya in the 2018 book they list it as a manual only.... the 2019 states the LSD as standard with only a Electric LSD as an option. So the 2019's and 2020's are still Open diff for the Auto LT's? Dam here I was beating myself up for not waiting a few more months.

After researching it on my 16 I swapped in a differential from a 2.0 turbo manual. Those models came with a limited-slip differential and 3:23 gears where are the stock 16 v6 came with an open differential and 2.77 gear ratio. I honestly was hoping to get some more bottom-end and take some of the top end out of it and funny enough it didn't affect the top in at all it just gave me a ton more bottom-end, LOL. The axles were much thicker to and heavy duty. All in all the spot was totally worth it.

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some suggestions concerning what's the right oil to replace in the differential of my Camaro? I tried to find threads, but in the end I'm still confused.
My car is a 2018 Camaro RS V6 Automatic transmission A8 ( completely stock.)

Thanks in advance for any answer!
