I think it will be called the Z/28 but as said in post #3 I hope they find a way to make this beast lighter than our current bodies despite having a beast living under the hood...it's still a waiting game and could go either way but regardless of the name that is chosen it will live on as a legend IMO

Yes it will be called a Z/28 and rightly so. Not like that anomaly from down under with "GTO" stickers. Blasphemy!

There have been a lot of "Z" badges on Chevys. I'm wondering if the truck reference is for the Blazer ZR2.

I'd like to see it refer back to the heritage and be called Z/28. Z28 or Z-28 just doesn't do it for me.

I think it should be called the SS. I have read from multiple sources that the SS would always be the top dog. In my opinion the Z28 is a road racer and a lot of people don't need 550 horses while hussling a car from corner to corner, while the SS is more of a dragster and would make the 550 horses viable. If they do come out with an up-spec car they should call it the SS and call the current "SS" the Z28

Yeah, acceleration doesn't help much in auto-x but actual road courses are a different matter. Some favor handling over acceleration, some are the opposite, but you need a mix of both on all of them.

Z28 - like that
I really don't know what kind of appearance I'd like the nameplate to be though. I wouldn't want to see the old-school Z/28 on there, as much as I DO love that look; it's too retro' for this car, IMVHO. If they can make it more modern, I'd be happy to reconsider it though. It'll be called Z28, though |

I don't mind if they come out and call it the Z/28 but historically, as stated before, the top performance edition for Chevys has always worn the SS badge. I don't see them changing what is now the SS to Z/28 though and then making the Z the "new" SS.

Let's not forget SS started as a trim package, not a performance package, unlike Z/28, and, the "top performance edition" is up for debate.

I like the idea of the "heritage slash" in there, however I think that it will be more of a resemblance to the early 2nd gen badge, designed in the font the current SS badge is done.
It keeps things clean and simple, and will be inline with the other (SS, RS, LT) badges. "I could be wrong, but I doubt it." -Charles Barkley
