My uncles 1969 Ford Torino 428 Cobra jet white with black accents. I remember it had the 2 inside head lights half covered in chrome caps. I remember it being loud as hell.

Attention potential haters- this video was shot by the front seat passenger, not the driver. No traffic laws were broken during this adventure as it was filmed on an interstate on-ramp up to but not exceeding the posted speed limit.
His expression says it all. Priceless! I remember when my dad got his new ‘66 Mustang up to 100mph with my brother and me in the back seat thinking that was the coolest thing ever! Good times.

7 Years old. In my dads 76 Nova SS with a 427ci. Golden with a white strip running across the front of the hood down the front fenders. Still remember him getting mad at the car when he blew up the rear end after what felt like a mile long rolling burnout and we walked 30 minutes home to call a tow truck. Best day ever.

I think since him and I owned over 20 muscle cars from Novas, Camaros, Chevelles, Ford Falcons, K5 and square body trucks and always had the best time building them.

I was 13, and already very interested in cars, when a family friend took me for a back seat ride in a white, 1970 Torino 429 SCJ drag pack, automatic, detroit locker rear with 4.30 gears.

He dropped it in low and repeatedly nailed it and then let the engine slow it back down while driving alongside a big Cadillac. Terrorized the old guy in the a caddy.

It remained the most powerful car I had been in for a long, long time. Maybe still is.

In HS, friend of mine and I were dating girls that were best friends and we double dated a lot in 71 -73. His Dad was one of the largest used car dealers in our area of N MS and went up north to get cars and flip. Many were muscle cars and we got our pick every weekend when the truck arrived. These included 68 442, 69 Camaro SS 396 4 sp, 69 Hurst Olds, 71 SS 454 Chevelle ( he wrecked it), and a 71 Dodge Demon 340 6 pack 4 sp, formally from Mr. Norm's in Chicago ( rolled it drag racing - totaled but not hurt). Man, those were the days. BTW, in the summer of 87, I bought a 79 vette which i still have (stupidly sold my 70 Chevelle SS396 4 sp to by it). My 4 year old nephew loved to ride in it ( his parents had let him get a "Boz" style cut at the time). One night when we were stopped at a 4 way stop, he looked up at me with a cool grin and said "Uncle ....., this is not a car, it's a Corvette". Sometimes giving the ride is also a memory to never forget.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever even been in a muscle car. I mean, I’ve been in a bunch of pony cars but, that’s the closest I believe.

That was a long time ago, it was either a 64 or 65 Hi-Po Mustang. That got me hooked and a few years later bought a brand new 67 SS396 Chevelle and had it modified by Motion Performance.
