Why didn't they just replace the engine?

Probably because it had 2300 miles and he didn’t want a tech at the dealership replacing the motor.

Ford would’ve gladly replaced it, but given that it was practically brand new; I can’t blame an owner for pushing for a buyback.

Thus the reason why I wanted my '19 2SS replaced. 1100 miles and needed a section of wiring harness replaced due to multiple electrical issues, and 2 main bearings failed in motor causing catastrophic engine failure at 1900 miles. It was a very stressful process, but GM finally did the right thing and offered a replacement(not a buyback)

just curious, how long does it take to get your car delivered when you order one ? given that dealers nearby don't have one.

Usually 8-12 weeks, give or take.

So GM called me and said that someone would call me within the next 5 days for the repurchase option. I thought they would give me offers on both the repurchase and replacement and then I would choose which was best.

Wanna buy mine? It's got 18K on it and no problems at all.

Just getting homesick for G37/Q60...

Sorry but I'm staying away from the A8.
I wouldn't mind the 2019 though.

Really this is a personal matter- not knowing what was wrong with the Camaro and what your needs are. I have been lucky, my SS is perfect.

Good Luck

Update:
GM came back to me with an offer and felt was good enough for me so I accepted it.
So ill be returning the car within a week.
I'm still clueless as to what car to get. I'm undecided between the challenger scat pack, charger scat pack or the 19 SS. Maybe a GT as well.

I am sure I am not the only one that is curious, what was your purchase price and what did they offer?

I got the car for 36k and they are paying it off. I got it used.
They gave me close to what I had paid in 12 payments so I was happy about that.
