After looking over the install instructions, that looks like something that would take a whole afternoon for someone without access to a lift.

Step 28 was a killer, esp. driver side. I had to get Wife to push on spring clip with screwdriver from above, while I pulled pin from underneath. Pass side wasn't bad. I ended up marking where the spring clips were on the pin with a marker. Exhaust, drive shaft all other stuff was straightforward. Exhaust came out in one assembly, pretty easy. Wish I had $ for exhaust upgrade while I did this. I don't know exactly how long it took me, I changed oil, cleaned the garage, rotated tires, cleaned wheels & did shifter, all that took me all weekend.

Shame they couldn;t be bothered to make it a generic shaft to fit the hundreds of different knobs out there or at least the stock one.

It is a threaded post, with separate ball knob. I'm checking tomorrow, but I think it's 9/16-18 threads. I'm looking to get a different knob, Speed dawg.

Yes thanks for the excellent pics. You are lucky to have one. Anyone else manage to acquire one of these?

Is there any chance you could post a video of the shifter in action?

I'll try. I can tell you the shift throws are super short. Shorter than a 5th gen Hurst. Biggest improvement for me is the pull back into 2nd when you want to get there quick, but all pattern is improved, even into reverse goes better.

Maybe some pics of it in the car also? I definitely want a short throw.

Thanks! A quality short throw shifter is a necessity on any manual transmission car, in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing your install experience. A lot of Camaro owners are worried about possible increased NVH with this shifter. We focused a lot of attention on making sure that this would not be an issue. Did you notice any increase in noise vs. the stock shifter?
