I bought my '11 2ssrs used , I do not have the original window sticker. But my question is this... I have the Gm color matched ground effects, heritage grill and matching red engine cover.

I have only found a few others color matched GM ground effects, also always had the heritage grill and painted engine cover. I have seen these in white, black, red and yellow so far.

Searching the GM packages for '11 I did not see a package grouping these 3 items. Is it just a coincidence that each car I found had all 3 add on's ?

Sometimes the dealership will add stuff to new cars too. Just to make them look better and sell easier.

I got the gm gfx package, heritage grill, but my engine cover was black and grey. I traded the engine cover with someone else and now have the IOM cover as well. Wasn't a package, but I'm sure I paid for it when I bought my car.

I agree, it is not safe giving out your vin number. Instead, post your cell number here and have him give you a call.

and what can they do with your vin number. I can get hundreds of vin numbers from any dealer on the net. It listed with the cars for sale.

^^^^^ This. Every vin on every car is right at the dash for the world to see.
No one via the net is going to end up owning your car.

I am guessing then that dealer or original owner added them. Since painting was involved, they must have decided to add and paint all 3 items at the same time.
