The other problem with the PP2 is limited production and how late they came out in 2018.

if you had to pick, GT350, or PP2? what would you pick??

(id take the gt350)

Agreed, that being said I actually did consider a PP2 when I was buying my 1LE a couple months ago. For us here in Canada the difference in MSRP between a GT w/ PP2 and a Shelby 350 is ~$27K ($50K vs. $77K) and I'm honestly not sure that the 350 is 50% more car than the PP2, especially for autocross.

Referring to the Engine and Trans issues. I personally know a guy that purchased a PP2 to mainly use for AutoX and some track use, it lasted all of 2 weeks before the engine grenaded, and many others have had similar failures as well as less serious problems, and apparently the manual trans they are putting in the 18-19s has very weak shift forks and people are losing 2nd, 3rd, or 4th after trying to shift under hard acceleration.

Hoefully Ford gets their shit together with the 18-19s cuz I think the PP2 has decent potential though it is almost certainly not going to be quite up to par with the 1LE and GT350.
Gotcha'

There definitely seems to be quality issues with the Gen 3 Coyote and the MT-82 D4.

Why Ford decided to stay on with the MT-82 and invest in it, I really don't understand. That transmission was never designed for the type of car/duty and Ford just poured more $ into it (I don't hold it against Getrag as they can make good transmissions).

I'd take the GT350, too, and convert the thing to CPC in the long-run.

IMO you should be in a Camaro if you go manual. Hands down.

Automatic a10 I might go Coyote

Having driven and raced an friends GT350 ill says this. You're paying for that engine... that glorious flat pane crank!!

Dollars per performance, no its not worth 27k more than a 1LE or PP2. I do think the PP2 has some sexy wheel though!

Yah I've had the chance to drive a Shelby 350 at a test n' tune this past season, lot's of fun and it really does sound spectacular.
