Castrol edge 5w30. Either way I doubt oil viscosity had anything to do with it.

Pixs So looking for the reason. Piston before I cleaned it then after I clleaned the top with carb cleaner. I dont see and deto mabey yall can see something.
I included picxs of another rod journel on the crank and case and caps. For reference. The other rods have about 1.35 to 1.5 clearence with gauges and also plasti gauge. If they are supposed to have the pink on them its not their.

Car is ss gen 6 procharger 3.85 with alkey control has about 18000 miles with this setup. Runs right at 12.5 to 12.9 afr. I put a 3.6 pully and made about 4, 0 to 100 hits. Then the motor just seized up at near idel right at the last hit. oil pressure was 70 tghrough the pull and 30 when it died. The back to rods got really hot turned the rods balck ad stuck the bearings to the journel.
Any help and input would be greatly appericated. I for sure dont want it to happen again. No ring lands broke and 13 on end gap.

injectors were running at about 4.5 with the 3.6 and about 4.2 for the 3.85 wheel measureing 8.5 pds. This is a picture of the new stock car when I bought it and the knock it woud show with shell 93 Knock sensors were turned down by procharger some. I never saw that kind of knock after the procharger.

I had a failure on 0-20 and never again. I ran the 15-50 Mobile one in my last engine. The problem with the 0 start up is these motors have a tendency to run real rich if not tuned properly. I learned my lesson on not changing the oil enough also since they don't sometimes come up to the proper operating temps when at the track. I was changing it every 30 runs and that wasn't enough for sure. Should have been pulling the filter after every race to look at the oil. I also should have been cutting the filter open each time and I didn't so it may have cost me a couple short blocks.

This was with the 0w40 mobil 1 I saw like some chatter on the one rod journel taht i posted a pix. I am guily of start up go say 2 minutes then give it half throttle. Also I was letting the oil life tell me when to change the oil. Maybe? Not good for sure and I will always look at oil temp to see if its up.

I always change mine when OLM says 50%...especially running Ethanol. You need the entire LT4 fuel system imo. With alky injection you should be able to run some E. If you want to run 93 then lower the compression.

Agree with King. Get compression down a point or so if you want 700+ WHP on 93 with a blower.
