20" NT01s on SS 1LE?

I'm looking at trying NT01s for HPDE & TT. I'd like to use on my oem 20x10 & 20x11 rims. But the NT01 sizes are a little different than the GY SC3s. Has anybody run this setup? Any issues with rubbing/fitment?

How about posting the specs? Have you tracked the car on G3s? They are superb track tire and cheap in comparison to many others.

NT01 is an ok tire. I used to run it a lot before my Camaro arrived. Was especially good when you could get them cheap from Discount Tire Direct on eBay...

If you are referring to trying to pinch on the 315 to a 10" wheel...I'd say no. And certainly don't mix heights 285/35 and 315/30 on your wheels.

Why don't you run the EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR 3R in OEM sizes?

That's a good choice to gain significant pace, but pretty much doubles the HPDE tire budget
Good choice for TT if the class allows it, though.

Yes, I was looking at the 285/35/20 Fronts & 315/30/20 rears in the NT01s.
I've done a couple of TTs & 4 HPDE days on the SC3s. I'm pretty happy with the SC3s but want to see what else is out there in 20". I have a 2nd set of SC3s waiting to get mounted.

Reason for the 20" size is that I was looking at a set of 20" ZL1 rims as a 2nd set. I want a 2nd set of wheels/tires so when I get down to the cords, I won't blow a track day/weekend while trying to get new tires mounted.

I was looking at the SC3R's as a step up from the SC3s in the OEM 20" sizes. Thought the NT01's might/would be lower cost.

The SC3R's are cheaper than the NT01's and are the proper size. They are also faster than the NT01's according to some ZLE owners.

If you don't already have a 2nd set...get 19"s.

More choices in tire. Lots of room to play with sizes.

I have the Apex 19" 11"F/12"R with 305/325 SC3R's. They are magic. MUCH better tire than the NT01.

That tire pairing would effectively REVERSE the rake and make for crap handling and *lift* under high speeds.
In addition (less important), it would make the gears taller. Bottom line: dont go there.

So, either get those ZL1 20s and simply run G3s or G3Rs in proper sizes as a second stock sized set, or, even better (as suggested above) get Apex 19 rims. You can go staggered, or square, which with proper ETs allow for F to R rotations (makes a difference longevity wise with a soft tire like G3R, as the fronts tend to wear out much faster). Also, running 19s will shorten gear ratios as a bonus.

315/30-20 will fit on the stock ZL1 rear size just fine, but as noted, 19s will give you more tire choices.

The NT01 is a pretty old tire at this point, so it's not going to give the performance of an SC3R, but it's still a good HPDE choice if you aren't chasing lap times for $$ or points. They last a long time, and seem to maintain their grip until worn out. Unless you freeze them... then they turn into hockey pucks.

Edit: just saw you can't get an NT01 in the proper front size in 20" so it's kind of academic...
