Similar. But Garnet is different and the lighting in the pics is causing the color to look darker and "grayer"

I like it a lot. It is basically burgundy. Some of the promo pics made WCT seem more like candy apple red. But this looks like a continuation of the (beautiful) Garnet color.

Looks like typical burgundy, doesn’t look like a flashy Metallic Red like the color name and preproduction pictures suggests. Looks a little like Red Rock Metallic from the 2014-2015 Camaro or Cayenne Red from the 97-98 Camaro.

Wouldn't surprise me that they resurrected an old color with a new flashy name.

A very nice, rich color indeed.

On a related note, I still don't understand the motivation behind ditching garnet red and bringing this color in, with zero publicity value and at extra cost to GM. Even less do I understand kicking hyper blue metallic to the curb for a bland blue when the same beautiful old blue is still around under other names (kinetic blue metallic etc.) in GM's lineup.

When I first heard of this color, I was excited and was planning on ordering a 2SS 1LE in Wild Cherry Tintcoat. Now seeing it, it does nothing for me. I think my colors are narrowed down to Shock and Crush and very much in favor of Shock at this moment.

I would like to see it in person, but I am in the same boat as you when I order mine. Crush is up first, with Shock slowly eating into me lol

I'm with you on kicking Hyper Blue. I remember years ago owning a 5th gen how GM staffers would say that everyone wants blue but then it doesn't sell. Well I always said that you have to bring the right blue! (I had one of the slightly rare Aqua Blue Metallic 2010 Camaros at the time. It looed fantastic in the sun, not as great otherwise but I still liked it very much).

Well lone behold...finally GM puts the perfect medium metallic blue on the 2016 Camaro and it sold...very well!!!

The new blue they introduced in 2019 isn't bad by any means...it still looks good, but it's not Hyper Blue (sorry I'm sure someone will disagree with me)

The pictures above surely don't do the color justice. If that car was setting in brighter conditions you might change your tune. Maybe not. Just a thought.

I've had the chance to see both, and I really like Crush. It's a good shade of orange: bright but not so much that it's too noticeable. Shock looks cool, but it is basically highlighter yellow-green so you better like bright colors if you own it!

Can't go wrong either way they are cool colors!

I agree. I was waffling between red and blue for the one I just ordered, and once I saw the new blue in person it was an easier choice. Very pretty, but just didn't do it for me.

That being said, if you wanted a car with a non-grayscale color and didn't want it to stand out in traffic, riverside blue is PERFECT.
