I have the Vantrue X4 (front facing only though) Link Blackvue imo has a good front and rear system. and a Escort Max 360 Link there are a couple other ones like the valentine one , its a little more "analog if that makes sense, the max 360 is more plug n play.

Since you’re thinking about doing a front/rear cam, make sure to take into consideration if your rear window is tinted, and how you’re going to mount the rear cam to avoid damaging your tint.

There’s a plethora of front/rear cams. You should decide on which features you want, and go from there.

A great source of information that is anything dashcam related can be found at Dashcam Talk.

For radar, depends on what you’re looking for. Features, etc.
Personally, I run a V1 with updated ‘Junk K Fighter’ software.

it would be good if rear cameras could record when you are not in reverse. And how about a DVR that can convert to 'dash cam mode'. Seems like a no brainer to me. The tech is already on the car, ferfuksakes.

I have the BlackVue DR750S-2CH in my car. I’d highly recommend checking it out. It is a little pricy but I promise the quality is unreal.

I second the V1. Been running it for years. you won't convince me that it's not saved me from several run ins.

Viofo a120. I have it on my Silverado. That thing is great. You can connect to it using its wifi hotspot and download clips to your phone. It has GPS option that is watermarked on the image as it records and shows your MPH. The rear camera is the same great quality as the front camera.
On my Camaro I just use the PDR. I couldn't imagine fitting a rear dash cam in the back window of this car and it not blocking a good amount of the view rear wards.
As far as the usefulness of the rear camera, I've caught some funky stuff happening behind me. I mainly got it because of how long the truck is and I wanted to be able to capture any incident of someone side swiping the bed or rear ending me. In the Camaro it would only really be useful if you get rear ended and you live in a state that requires front license plates. If you live in a rear plate only state and someone runs after hitting you, the front camera is going to be the only one with a chance to catch the plate.

That's what I am saying. If I get hit from the back it automatically their fault either way so Im kind doubting the usefulness of the rear camera especially with a camaro rear window since its so small. And if in some case someone takes off my front dash cam would capture their license plate anyways. and in NJ both is required.

I get the piece of mind with just a front facing dash cam. It doesnt hurt to start with one , then add another if you like.

My car is tinted 15% all round minus windshield. The BlackVue system comes with 2 cameras, one for the front, and one for the rear. Looking at the playbacks, it doesn’t even look like there’s tint. I would recommend both just for the peace of mind.
