Shudder question
Looks like I got it , I felt the shudder two times in the last 1 1/2 months it wasn’t to noticeable but today it did it 3 times in two minutes. I’m gonna call the dealer Monday for the flush and fill and hopefully a new torque converter to.
My question is does anybody have the shudder with a 19 or 20 Camaro with the A10 transmission? If I still have it after this fix I’ll get another Camaro if the A10 doesn’t have the shudder, if it does I’ll get something else but not a Chevy .

I have a 2018 1LT as well, and had the new fluid and flush procedure done along with a new torque converter about 22,000 miles ago. It's been fine ever since

New fluid started sometime in Q1 2019. Anything using fluid newer than that should be fine or has a totally different problem. Any auto trans with older fluid should get all new fluid whether they have the shudder or not. Waiting till you have it is a bad idea.

Unless you want to upgrade to an SS or a ZL1, the second option (or even buying a non-GM vehicle) is going to be costly, as it will force you to realize the depreciation hit. Truth to be told, though, trade-in and used car sale prices are unusually high now, so if you, say, want a new SS or ZL1, from a financial point of view this would probably be the best time to make a move.

Thank God for that. My new 2019 C7 had it at under 400 miles and it was made after they started the latest fluid change. GM never did fix the A8 and i guess they really don't know what is the cause if you ask me.
So now we got 1000's of nice used A8 C7's that i would love to buy that will cause the owners a pricey problem out of warranty. Too bad they did not offer the A10 in the 2019 C7's. At least the A6 in the 2014 C7 is much better and in the C6's as well. My driving is 95% heavy traffic and speeds under 45mph so i would never feel shudder. But once doing a steady 60 mph you would feel it coming in and out over and over. I had a Range device at under 200 miles and still had the shudder. Then the rear end warble started and that was enough for me and got rid of it. Had it 4 months with 1400 miles. |

New torque converter and fluid change fixed my car.
I heard the A10 does have hard shifting issues in the trucks but so does the A8. |

My wife’s 16 CTS with the 8L45 finally got it about two weeks ago. 40k miles. Classic case, 30-35 mph with slight acceleration and you could feel it. The car went to the dealer IMMEDIATELY! Still under warranty and it’s a CPO car anyway, so had lots of time left, but you don’t want to wait once it starts. More time = more damage. Dealer did the flush and problem’s solved for now. I don’t anticipate it coming back based on immediate service and feedback in this forum.
Asked the service writer how much it would cost if I had to pay for it, he said about $450, why? Told him I had a 16 Camaro SS with the A8 but it wasn’t doing it. He said bring it in, they’d “get it done” for me (we have two Caddies and do all our service at that dealership). Took the SS to a Chevy dealer a week later for an oil change and told them it was doing it “intermittently” (never has) and brought up 18-NA-355 so he knew I knew what I was referring to. They did the TSB for me. Now she’s off to the storage unit for a long 5 months
