Great questions...

Keep in mind that I'm in the DC metro area so prices for labor may be higher.

With that said, it cost me $846 with an alignment thrown in for the install. The MRC programming requires the work to be done during the work week so that GM can provide the authorization code.

Total time was 2 days at my dealer, but the tech was swamped so it may be less time for you.

All-in for a shade over $2k and I have to say that it's caused me to really love the car that much more. Since I'm keeping the car for awhile, it was well worth the money spent. Everytime I put the throttle down without losing traction.

Suspension Package

Part Name: Suspension Handling Package
Part #: 84233245
Brand: Chevrolet OEM

dealer quoted me $525 for install when I bought the kit.

I've had mine for about three weeks. The handling and the cars ability to put power to the pavement is much improved.
Lowered my ride height by about 3/4 inch front, about 1/2 inch rear, and will settle more over time. I am still waiting for the 2016 software, which should provide even better performance.

the software is the reason I want to go with this kit over aftermarket.

If you have MRC, I don't see why not other than maybe the spring rates wouldn't be appropriate for the extra weight and different balance of the convertible.

Fifty, has your ride height dropped? I finished my review between 2500 and 3000 miles after I had it done so I knew it had settled and my ride height was lower front and back by around 1/2 inch.

Good question.

Initially, the front did decrease in ride height by roughly .3" the rear ride height actually increased on my car by .2" I believe (typing from memory).

I'm now approaching 2k miles on the setup and just had a second alignment done on the car and there was definitely some settling. Will have to go and measure again. I'm hoping for the ride height change that you have seen!

I was thinking this too...that the convertible springs might already be stiffer than the 1le to handle the weight. Could partially explain why they don't offer a convertible 1le.

Apologies for revival.

Has anyone heard about the 2016 BCM update yet? Does it exist?
The part number that @archer1965 provided is only bringing up that it fits '17-'18, although he has a '16. Does it fit on a '16 SS with MRC with no modification? I would assume so. I assume the only reason they don't list it for the '16 is because of the lack of a BCM update for the MRC, but I'd like to be sure.

Would gladly appreciate any further information for us '16 guys. Thanks in advance.

No apologies needed, BusDriver! I have posted on multiple threads inquiring about installing this kit on MRC equipped '16's. I am certain that the BCM update will never be available for us but I would guess the kit minus the reprogramming would still result in a noticeable improvement. There has to be someone out there with a MRC 2016 who has installed this kit. I would really like some objective evidence in support of using this kit without the MRC update but I don't want to be the guinea pig....

I agree, just wondering how this package performs without the MRC update

Thanks for the reply.

Dang, that sucks. I'm in the same boat as you, @L78toLT1, would love to know how it changes the handling dynamic without the update.

I wonder why they won't release a MY16 tune? Seems like easy money for them to offer this kit that's already fully sorted out on the '16s as well.
