'17 ZL1 Headliner

I went to visit a dealer in San Antonio this past Saturday, they have a green 6-speed in the showroom and invited me to come see it. Looks much better in person than in pics, but still a bit loud for my tastes. Anyway, while sitting in the driver seat, I checked the leading edge of the headliner...

Was disappointed with seeing the frayed, lose edge almost all across from left to the right. This is the sort of thing that American manufacturers get beat up about! I hope the 2018 models have this addressed.

I mean, the edge isn't tucked under, but it isn't loose or frayed. Just not a clean looking edge, not that you can see it from a seated position anyways.

Well, if that bothers you, make sure you do not look at the back rear window when the sun is setting and still shining on it. If you do look, you will see that the headliner is separated away from the roof by about an inch and you can see under the headliner when looking at the top of the back window.

I had looked at it in july green w black stripe? Very cheap was quoted 57,900 for the 64,300 msrp went with yellow.. figured green would get old after a bit.. there may still be a garnet red in Austin real cheap. There a blk auto at Ron Carter I have a quote/ invoice for 56,900.. use Eric classic. Grapevine Tx he will get what you want brought to the dealer. It's well worth it don't listen to other dealers that say u won't find a better deal or another dealer can't sell lower cause we pay same price it's horse crap.

So here is the deal none of the edges are actually tucked over but the ones getting replaced are the ones that are starting to seperate usually on the corners where it goes from straight to ridge..

They have to take out the front winshield to replace I had it added to my service notes will come back close towards the waranty.

I wanted to enjoy my car since it's new still.

I had the dealer bring a new one in and it was,the same as my 16ss, my 17 zl1 but with out the part on the Ridge seperating or fraying.

I made sure to check the headliner edge, no issues on the '18 ZL1 I bought. Was probably just a batch of headliners that were cut incorrectly during the '17 model year, it definitely wasn't every car from what I've seen/read.

I did notice the headliner above the back window last night though! The sun was hitting it just right and sure enough there is a gap between it and the roof. I'll be tinting the windows soon, so it will never be seen again.

2018 zl1 here as well and I second this, no issue on mine! However, with all this damn suede in these cars I wouldn't have minded a matching headliner...

No issues with the head liner on mine. It's one of the first 2017 A10s.

Well, I definitely saw it from the driver's seat. And there were at least 2 spots that were frayed. Not a good look on any brand new car, let alone one at the ZL1's price point.

I wanna fix that squeaking noise from the map light cluster when you're at highway speeds with Windows down.

Checked
Mine is bad front and rear
Good and nice cut but doesn't stick to the roof
For those who tried to fix it,
Did you keep the older and made it glue by a specific guy?
Did you order a new one, was it better?
Tx
