Camaro fender badge replacement

Read a lot of removal threads referencing goof off and did not feel like making a special trip .
Used a heat gun on the low setting for just a few seconds periodically while working monofilament back and forth . The other side I used braid . I got the feeling the mono was going to melt but didn't . Used elbow grease and my thumb to roll up the sticky stuff in the pic . Used an undisclosed mild industrial cleaner to quickly eliminate the outline of the old badge . Quickly followed up with soap and water and wiped dry .
TIP ALERT!
I left the residue line from the top of the Camaro badge as a guideline for the new SS emblems. Hope this helps someone with this interest . I honestly think you can do this without heat . Takes about 5 minutes once you get your tools lined up.

Link to the SS emblems available in multiple colors . I really like the black even though my front and back are red .

I'm considering following up with Black SS wheel caps instead of the Bowties . Any thoughts are appreciated . I'm wondering if it may be too much .

Looks good , I like the black ss badges. I find it bad on gm’s part that these cars don’t say Camaro on them except the red line edition. That’s what I’m planning to do to mine.

Personally I like the redline type " CAMARO" badge from eBay or Amazon. It's like half the price of the original GM ones. Its about an inch longer (5th gen style) but fits just fine on the 6th gen

Awesome! Looks great! I'm running SS badges on the fender too. Removed the front and rear SS. Felt both of those were awkwardly out of place. Bowties only front and back, SS only on the fenders!
Generally speaking, I do like the Camaro tri-bar logo, but I think the 6th gen version of it is pretty bad. I've played with some red white and blue grill accents, but felt it looked too much like the BMW grill stripes. Still playing with it here and there...we'll see.

I like the silver bowtie caps. If it were mine, I'd leave it as is.

I've ordered these black 5th gen style badges and will give them a try in place of the fender logo. Seems to be the best of both worlds, it does have the stylized flag color stripes and as we all know, black and red are a perfect match

I know I kind of like them too . May try the other caps eventually they're cheap and can always go back . BTW your color scheme looks great!

This is what I have, but Im just using the center badge portion of it. Its the redline edition version. Was nice to have something besides the chrome.

I just put these on my Camaro too. They come with a mylar template. If you use the template the forward couple of letters end up on the wheel arch sweep. So when viewed from above the front 2 letters are not on the same plane as the other 4. It's a tiny detail, but i noticed.

Dry fit the badges to see what For/Aft position you like best. Too far forward and it gets into the wheel arch sweep. To far aft and it crowds the door.

I think too much....

Thanks a lot for the info, Dragon08 You mind posting up a pic of yours installed?

My badges still haven't arrived, shipping obviously takes longer these days. It's more than okay, though, nothing could be farther from "essential", to be honest.
