change oil soon message 2016 SS

I changed my oil this last weekend and am not able to turn off the change oil soon message in the DIC. Neither the method from the owners manual or the internet way. DIC does NOT have remaining % message. One other thing is that the car has had some tuning done. Any one experienced this?

Did you reset the OLM? Pg 267 in the manual tells you how.

Thanks for the comment but I think your Manual is some different than mine.

Not if it's a 6th Gen.

You might have a mid-production if that was a thing going from 2016-2017 MY.

Here’s 2017:
The engine oil life system calculates engine oil life based on vehicle use and displays the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message when it is time to change the engine oil and filter. The oil life system should be reset to 100% only following an oil change.

Resetting the Oil Life System

1. Display the REMAINING OIL LIFE on the DIC. See Driver Information Center(DIC)
2. Press and hold SEL on the DIC while the Oil Life display is active. The oil life will change to 100%.

The oil life system can also be reset
as follows:

1. Display the REMAINING OIL LIFE on the DIC. See Driver Information Center (DIC) 0 130.
2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds.

Below capture is for 2016 as I’m sure you’ve tried.

My car has the oil life system but DOES NOT SHOW the remaining oil life message in the DIC. It only shows change oil soon message. The accelerator function does not work. I talked to the tuner and they say it is a possibility that one part of the tune has affected the resetting of the change oil soon message. I am aware that the cars came with both messages or just one of them in the DIC.
