I try to make $75/hr. That's a fair price, for me.

There are jackasses around here with shops that advertise coating and paint correction for $250.

Yeah but you have those nice beaches!

I give people great work for a fair price. They're happy, I'm happy.

My point exactly. You give them great work for a fair price. I respect that. Hard to find that here in SoFlo.

Costings are not a hard thing to do right. They just take some time with polishing. If anyone is living in s florida and can make their way to me, i'll use your products and do the complete application of 1 panel for $10. You then go home and do the rest. If you want a list of things to buy, pm me.

You can't beat that. I'm about 20 minutes from you depending on where in Ft Lauderdale. Very generous!!

I commented about this in another thread recently. Everyones situation is a little different and there are a LOT of coating products available these days.

My experience is different. I polished and prepped my car on my own right after i bought it. I then applied Optimium Gloss Coat, which itself is somewhat controversial for not meeting it's durability claims. Here I am over 2 years later and the coating is still there. Is it as effective as right after I did it --- no, probably not. But I have done no maintenance, no reload, no toppers, nothing at all other than infrequent washes. I plan to clean up my car in the next few weeks, do a quick/light polish, and recoat it again. The paint is still in great shape.

For me, the coatings are a huge time saver vs. the older sealants. That having been said, I would not have spent $2k on it but I was certainly willing to put some time into it DIY. It's really not that difficult, although it is tiring and time consuming. I can live with that once every couple of years. I am using 22ple this time, which seems to be even longer lasting and more durable. Check back in another 2+ years.

I don't really think that's true, out of control are the 2k prices but most people here charge around a grand. The mobile guys that do it in your driveway in a half a day charge around 700. I do wheels off etc and I spend about 30 hours on it. I know excessive but they what's they are paying me for...

I definitely understand what you're saying. Guess I'm just too old school.

Wow that is crazy...my back can't hold up doing too many of those, I just people would understand the amount of labor that goes into a paint correction or just even a really thorough detail.
