Afm disabler for 2021 ss ?

Just bought a 2021 1SS 1LE. I had a range afm disabler from my Silverado I traded that I figured I’d use for the camaro but after looking at range’s website they don’t offer one for the 2021 so I’m assuming the one I have won’t work. Is there one available from another company that would work or is a tune the only option?

FYI
My 2020 2SS has the 10L80 transmission and I have been using the Range AFM device for close to 5,000 miles. It works fine with zero issues. I contacted Range before buying it and was told it would be fine.

What transmission do you have, 10L80 or 10L90? Maybe the 2021 transmission control module has changed from the 2020 - I don't know. Contact Range and see what they say.

I have a Range from my 2019 C7 but they say don't use it on my 2021 LT1 with the A10.

Just called them. He said they don't support the 2021 yet but he did say plug it in and see if it works, it shouldn't harm anything. So I guess I'll give it a shot. If it doesn't work then it looks like diablo has one that says it works with 2019 and up.

The 2019 & 2020 versions of the Range product will work in a 2021. I plugged mine in at 500 miles with no issues so far.

I just bought a 2021 LT1 A10 (first post on the forum), and would like to confirm with anyone on this thread is still having success with the Range device.(and no issues)

FYI:I called emailed Range's tech support and like several have mentioned, they stated it is not supported for my 2021 LT!, but I really want to disable the AFM.

Thanks!

What I'm thinking about is the Range device not being able to communicate with the Transmission Control Module (TCM), and the transmission locking/unlocking the torque converter when it should or shouldn't while it thinks it is in AFM.

Wondering if there would be a long term affect that is not obvious... I ordered one anyway to try.. see how it goes.

I just got my Range device and took the car(2021 LT1) for a 15 mile spin (city and highway), and it worked as I hoped it would. No lights, etc...

So hopefully it stays that way.

And no pesky AFM, great to hear. Let us know if it stays that way or if things change. I really do hate AFM and cannot wait to defeat it. I have to drive in manual mode all the time to keep the car from going into AFM. Whch unit did you buy, the latest one offered for the Camaro SS.?

Personally, I have been doing a lot of R&D driving my 10 speed auto 2021 LT1 and when I am in manual mode and have started off in M1 or downshifted once while in manual mode when coming from auto mode while under way, I do not detect any converter lock up and I do have a very sensitive butt meter and ear. Coming from auto mode to Manual mode while underway I still get AFM V4 mode unless I downshift 1 gear and upshift . Are you sure the converter locks up with AFM mode is not operating?

I've been using the Range AFM Disable on my 2020 2SS (10L80 Transmission) for several months now and it has been working just fine, no lights and never goes into V4 mode...
