Pulled the trigger on an S Type NPP. I will post back my thoughts on how it sounds with Kooks Headers and high flow cats, stock mid pipes.

Very interested in this, I just got my s type axle back, wondering what it will sound with the headers and cats, are yours 1-7/8” or 2” headers ?

Will do. I also decided to replace the stock mid pipe with the Borla 60607 Xpipe/mid pipe. I am not certain it is a direct bolt on to my Kooks headers/cats but from my research on here it should require little to no modification. I hope my guy can get me in next week. So the full system will be Kooks 1 7/8'' longtubes with catted connection pipes to Borla 60607 mid pipes to Borla S type NPP 11924.

Well it’s all on and I think it sounds great. It is louder but it’s so much cleaner and is deeper. Stealth mode brings it down a good notch. It can very loud when you want it to be and tame when you want it be, I am very happy with it. It’s good to know that Borla makes that resonator that will clamp right in if I want to take it down even a little more. I’ll work on getting a video. But it’s a significant upgrade over the stock NPP in my honest opinion.

Thanks for the video! I found a few more. I just placed an order for the S-Type dual tip without the valves. Can't wait to hear it!

I just installed a pair of S-Type quad tip non NPP mufflers and I absolutely love the sound! I rarely used the valves closed on my NPP so I can say that the S-Type are louder in city driving but a bit deeper in tone. At wot it’s about the same as NPP but less rasp. No drone and a really nice deep sound. I’m happy I did it! I was worried that it might be too loud with headers but I think it’s perfect! Quiet enough if your light on the throttle and earthquakingly loud when up you get into it!

Looking at S-Type axel backs now, this thread just helped in my decision making process. I was going to get the Atak, but i want that deeper growl. Thanks all
