Yes, it's Z06 and I just posted it for the view and not necessarily to be added in the OP.

Still good info on the plant etc.

Don't know if this is the type of information that you want to include, but here it is.
Operation:
Break-in period - 1,500 miles, vary speed, keep under 80 mph
First oil change - ? Miles
Regular oil changes - 3,000 miles (?)
Tire air pressure if operating over 100 mph - 44 psi
Fuel capacity - 19 gallons (93 octane unleaded recommended)
Trunk / cargo capacity - 9.1 cu ft (coupe)
Do not use automatic car washes

(OE) Summer only tire low temperature operating conditions:
Under 40* F
Performance / handling issues - lower traction in accelerating, driving, steering and braking. Loss of traction on snow or ice.
Under 20* F
All of the above plus damage issues - potential of developing cracks in tread area.
Tires should also not be stored at these temperatures.

Maintenance:
Oil change with filter - 10.0 qts DEXOS 5W30
Oil filter - AC DELCO PF64, K&N HP-1017
Air filter - AC DELCO PF48E, K&N 33-2434
Radiator Coolant - 12.9 qts DEX-COOL

ZL1 production

I heard from a dealership that the 2017 ZL1 production run was closing early and that was the reason for difficulty in obtaining one, at least in Canada where we got only 50. The 2018 production run is supposed to start in June/July. Can anyone else confirm this.

I also contacted the Lansing Michigan plant but only found out that ZL1s, CTS-Vs and ATS-Vs are all produced on the same assembly line. They wouldn't tell me anything about production runs or the impact of the recent layoffs there.

Production for 2018 MY does start in roughly June. But the 2017 MY wasn't cut short.

The reduction in shifts and production volume due to slumping car sales has forced them to adjust their schedule a bit in terms of orders and building cars, which is why many people saw their TPW shift by almost a month.

Can't speak to the Canada part.

I tried in vain to get a 2017 and spoke to at least 20 dealerships here in Canada, some as far away as 1500 miles. Of the dealerships that each got one of the 50 allocation, they had between 5-10 deposits. So GM could have sold a minimum of 250 more ZL1s in Canada and that's only considering the few dealerships that got a manual allocation. I'm beginning to feel like you have to be privileged to order a performance GM car (ZL1, CTS-V or ATS-V) in Canada.

Production #'s

I am currently awaiting delivery of my new ZL1, and I was wondering if anyone has any production numbers of the 2017 ZL1?

What about MotorTrend A10 ZL1 unofficial lap time of 1:25.87, recorded on the ZL1’s optional Performance Data Recorder (PDR).

Great question and it will be asked, but a little too soon now. Will get final numbers of this and other models (I hope) later this summer.
