trying out new tune

Hey everyone.

so I currently am running a Trifecta tune. I am switching to zzp tune to try them out. I have ordered a unlocked TCM from Hp tuners and ordered the tune so I'm interested in seeing the difference zzp is compared to Trifecta. Trifecta isnt horrible but it is a "canned tune" per say so there wasn't much after uploading it when it comes to checking out how the car handles it. I tried to send them a data log because I have issues with how it shifts with the tune installed. but they pretty much told me it sounded normal and that's the last I heard from them. the way it shifts and down shifts isn't normal. but im not making this post to bash Trifecta i just want to give other tuners a chance and i hear zzp is good. if anyone has any feedback on zzp's tune id love to hear about it.

Did you do the trifecta elite package. They recommended that one for me due to aftermarket bolt ons and dtc accessibility. They say that tune will squeeze out more hpthan their standard tune

Just FYI that you may have to remove the Trifecta tune and flash back to OEM before you flash the ZZP tune. I don't know if this applies to you but in the past some people have reported that Trifecta locks the ECM with their tune.

Did you get the "Elite" package? Make sure you flashed the tune correctly to your car. Do it multiple times just to make sure it's installed correctly. I thought there was a separate transmission tune? I could be wrong. Also, Trifecta does not lock the tune. You can flash it back to stock whenever you want.

Hey guys sorry for the lack in response I don’t get notifications for this forum. I did flash back to stock before starting the zzp tune. I had to get a unlocked TCM from hp tuners. I couldn’t have my car down for a while so I just got a whole new one from them. So far on the second Revision with zzp and it’s night and day compared to the trifecta tune. I asked trifecta a while back for the elite version, I was under the impression it was more of a custom tune. They were like you don’t need. Pretty much not wanting to work with me so I gave up on them. They have the opportunity to be so much better but their customer service lacks greatly. I wanted to upgrade and get more out of them but they didn’t want to I guess. Zzp however has been great so far. I’m thrilled with how the tune is panning out. He did however say he thinks there is a boost leak and so I did a test and noticed some air coming from the intake manifold area. Not sure if it relieves pressure naturally when the car is off or if it’s a boost leak.
