Quick browse of listings show TRX is at 90s avg with examples in 6 figures optioned. ZR2, high 60s into 70s. Significant. I'd also point out the ZR2 is more livable from a daily perspective.

GM should start a division of COPO powersports LT1/LT4 super side-by-sides, to counter the TRX and Raptor F-150.

You don't know why someone would go with a truck that's $13,000 cheaper?

2) The ZR2 was available with supplier pricing so ~4,300 under MSRP for me. |

I bought the ZR2 because I didn't want a $92k truck that gets low double digit or single digit MPG. Plus it's a Ram and I don't get employee pricing on a Ram. So, $23k difference becomes $30k difference. I'm glad you think $30k is such a drop in the bucket that you would step up but it made zero sense for me. |

@GearheadSS Do you see any ordering restrictions on the 2023 Blazer RS AWD?

Typical Wall Street Corporation move, sad. Competition is making it difficult to compete and GM probably has some of the higher paid employees making it even harder. Toss in UAW wage and benefits and it’s a recipe for Government spending to help prop up the transition to EVs and the companies. I think the Tesla Investor Day was also another wake up call of just how further behind they are, I was very impressed while some were not.

The article implied that GM is looking to let everybody go. That is a ridiculous premise. I would expect that GM has a target of how many people they want to reduce by. I would also believe that they have already done the math and figured out, based on prior buyouts, how many people are likely to accept a buyout. There were a couple buyout programs offered up before I retired in 2017. For me they weren’t worth exercising at the time and I fared better waiting a year or two and retiring when I did. I’m sure a number of people at GM will find themselves in a similar circumstance. This is best for people who already have something lined up elsewhere and can pocket up to 12 months salary and keep it moving. Hardly a firing. Now, what could happen is if GM doesn’t get enough people opting for the buyout offer, they may follow up with an additional round of layoffs / firings to get to their target number. Should also note, this is a salaried employee program. No UAW workers will be involved in this process.

JC, if I could pocket up to 12 years salary, I wouldn't have to have anything "lined up". I would be gone from the paying work force forever!
