Forever must be 2-3 years around here because that's about all the longer it seems a lot of these "forever" people keep their cars.

I would love to see a poll on here asking what the longest number of years most people on here have ever kept a new car after buying it. I've had my 2002 Camaro SS since it was brand new (11-1/2 years now). And I have considered selling it and I've had it listed for sale. Never have found a serious buyer for it and I think I would have a hard time letting it go. But I was looking to sell it so I could get a ZL1. Keeping a single car for 20+ years until it even begins to turn into something somewhat collectible is hard to do. You get bored with the car and financially it's a long time to keep something and maintain it.

So I really wish people would stop arguing over which Camaro model/option package will be most collectible...blah blah blah. I would be willing to bet that less than 1% of the current owners of a 1LE will still have their new 1LE 20+ years from now for it to even matter.

Just enjoy the cars for what they are now and stop worrying about the future that won't matter anyhow.

Team 2013 Here 2014's are really growing on me though. I've been wondering for a while, can you tell its a 1le by the vin? I know you can buy most of the parts from Chevy to make a an SS a 1le(exept the rims I think) If you cant tell by the vin, then will these cars(in 20+ yrs) be worth any more that a normal SS? Even despite the 2013 1le low production numbers?

I keep reading in this thread that more 14's will be sold than 13's. Doesn't that say something in and of itself? I'm not bashing on the 13' as I could have bought a new 13' and saved thousands, but the looks of the 13' were tiring to me and I liked the updates of the 14's.
My point is, people are buying 14' models because they look better?
At least that was my case.

Not trying to derail the OP's thread, just putting in my 2 cents.
Don't know if the re skin was responsible for more being produced. They didn't really put a lot of marketing in to the RPO for 13's and when they started popping up it was inveitable there would be more interest as the option was a fantastic value for the $$

I own a 13 VR 1SS, didn't want RS/halos and liked the way the black antenna played off the rest of the black features(spoilers wheels, hood etc.) I do like the front end on the 14's, and while some equate the rear tails to the first gen's the 13 tails are a direct link to early second gens. I guess I'm going to be in the extreme minority of people that doesn't like the aesthetics of the hood extractor on the 14, would have preferred a NACA duct on the fender like second gen T/A's. Either year is great,as both have their own distinctive styling cue's.

Agree with the 1LE package being a great bang for the buck.
But for me, the refresh is what sold me on the 1LE.
Even the 14' ZL1 didn't really do it for me as it still has the 13' front end.

As stated already, I like them all.

I'm one of the last to order a 2013 1LE specifically for not having the tail lamps and squinty front end. I'm still glad I got one when I did. I think the front end on the 13s are classic and true to the original, which I like more than the refresh. I will admit the new model looks faster (and probably is) and even the rear end is not really that bad in person to be honest. As far as seats go, I don't care about the SS recaros. I want the Z28 ones so I don't care about that and cost was also factor to me. Both are still sweet.

13 here!
If I had my choice All over again and the 14 was out.. sitting side by side I would still take the 13.
Don't hate the 14 anymore that I've seen them in person but it just doesn't look as good as the 13...

The question is did you see the rs or non-rs '14 taillights? Because the look is definitely different at day and night. Thought maybe that would make a difference.

The dark has been helping the ugly out for a long time. Lol the tail lights do look pretty cool at night lite up, but that's about it.

So far it's been a close race between the 13s & 14s

You know the non rs doesn't look too much different at night from the 13s. Granted you can definitely tell its a 14 because its square.

I want to get LED bulbs for it. Also will be tinting them soon.

I got a 13 and love my inferno orange, I just wish the Recaro's were an option then too, but that's bound to happen. Just wish they happened sooner ha ha. Can't go wrong with either year because they are both Camaros and that means both are awesome!
