Finally got my car back from the body shop. It's been three months since it was hit. I'm glad to have the repairs done. Now I have to wait for the paint to cure before I can reinstall the PPF.

I am glad for you to have your car back looking like new. To have it wrinkled up for that long only prolongs the angst. Enjoy her more like it never happened.

No, I'm going back to the original shop who installed the PPF to have them replace the places where the PPF was removed. Insurance is paying for it to be replaced since it was on my car at the time of the accident, so why not. I still have PPF on the side mirrors, the driver's side headlight and the driver side fender. I will install the passenger side hash mark myself.

I cancelled the one-month free OnStar trial today and asked both of the OnStar propagandists I “needed” to talk with to remove my email and snail-mail addresses from their records permanently. (I never gave them my phone number.) There is no feature of OnStar that I’d want that I don’t already get for free from another source, and the rest just invade my privacy. Why would I pay a company $32/month just to irritate me?

Fortunately, this is the only negative experience I’ve had with this vehicle. The paint’s been corrected, the PPF is done and now it’s time for the ceramic coating.
