Additional Switch Locations

Picked up my 2019 2SS yesterday and I absolutely LOVE it. Dual mode exhaust makes every drive exciting, and I can still drive thru the neighborhood late at night without pissing anyone off. That being said, I would like the exhaust to be fully open ALL the time. I have seen the fuse pull method, but I still want to be able to close it when I need to. Best way I've thought to do this would be to put a switch between the fuse and battery, only issue is I cannot find a good place to mount said switch. If you've done something similar show me your additional switch mods/locations. Happy to finally be a part of the club!

to the forums, brosmar1.

This is the perfect Jekyll & Hyde car, isn't it. I'm a huge fan of this personality, plus the fact that the faster you go, the more buttoned up and tight the car becomes, it takes almost everything you throw at it in stride.

You can lock the exhaust into track mode for sport and tour modes, then drive into the neighborhood in snow&ice mode if you want to stay quiet, is that not enough for you? Just asking because track mode already opens the valves in most meaningful scenarios. Do you really need an open exhaust for highway driving in top overdrive gear at 10-15% throttle?

I simply love hearing the exhaust rumble, even if the engine is sitting at 2k on a highway

This would definitely work, although I'm hesitant to pay $70 for a wireless control module that might go bad where an extra wire and switch would accomplish the same thing.

It's easy to do with a fuse tap or make one with a couple of spade plugs. I ran the wire to an inline fuse and then to a rocker switch. Doesn't look great but I tucked the wires behind the front of the center console below the knee pad and have the switch peaking out. Really not very easy to notice unless you're the driver. I also have a switch there to turn on my Glo-tie when it's parked and one for some under-the-hood LED lights.

In the settings of the car I have mine set to engine sound track. So, shouldnt that do the same thing as this. Its always in track mode for the exhaust so isnt it wide open?

Track Mode will still close the values under lower power settings during certain RPM ranges (I think 1500-2200 or so)... The fuse pull leaves the valves open 100% of the time regardless of power setting or RPM range...
