I don't see the cost argument as being a strong one for Eforce, even with last month's discount, since some vendors are also providing a large discount for the Maggie. And, after porting the Eforce ends up costlier.

Also, the is an arguable difficulty on both installs - when comparing cutting the hood (Edelbrock) and modifying the valve covers (Maggie). If we argue that you must buy valve covers and not modify the OEM ones, then you will spending $420+. If we argue that one shouldn't cut the hood but buy an larger one like the Anderson hood, then that is $1500+.

Nevertheless, there is a strong argument for the Eforce due to ease of port injection.

I'm guessing a single or dual nozzle like I run in the elbow will be much cheaper the running full port injection in the manifold with all the plumbing that's required. That's not going to be that cheap of a setup. But to each his own on how you spend your money. You can buy an AEM or Alky Control for 450 to 700 bucks. Somebody tell me what it costs to do a complete port injection on the Eforce 2650 so we can stop beating this horse to death. My car runs in the low 9s on a simple AEM kit that most guys can install in a few hours. You don't have to tear the blower apart to install my setup, drill a couple holes in the elbow, tap the holes for the nozzles and use a little RTV to make sure they don't move, run your lines, put your elbow back on and fire it up. Maybe I'm wrong but most don't have a huge budget to work from so I'm good with mine.

They both have Pros and Cons... Choose what works best for your setup and goals. Both are capable units...the arguing over which one is better is silly. Have a Coke and a Smile, be thankful you woke up this morning and have a Hotrod sitting in the garage.

I'm tired of it also that's why I just want to find out what the actual cost is on a port injection before the horse falls over and dies. Everybody is always comparing costs of the blower but no one has actually compared the cost of the injection. Just interested to see myself what the cost is so other know also. My name was not in the obits today and I'm excited to go racing this weekend also. I smile everyday, but I have Lemonade or Pepsi and maybe some wine in the evening. King you always bring me down to earth. Ha that's some bullshit isn't it. Glad your a part of the Camaro scene.

Haha no problem...

I honestly always look forward to reading posts from you guys that are actually going to the track and posting the results. It's something I would like to do but don't have time for. Either way I just think guys need to appreciate what they have a little more and quit getting wrapped up in what is better and needing to put another setup down. I can see advantages to both systems...both are superior to my Whipple and I still sleep fine at night. There is a lot more involved to making a car go down the track then what Supercharger is sitting on top of the engine.

BTW we just finished up installing a Maggie 2300 on my brothers C7Z. One of the PCV lines had the wrong fitting on it, but overall Nice kit for sure!!

Cool, wish he'd gotten the 2650, but the 2300 does a great job on the C7z

Port Injection cost for me..

I spent 700 to Crawford racing for machine work, rails, and shipping.

Hatlech system and various parts 2500.00

Idx1050s 890.00

Low side return hard to calculate with the fittings ect..

7200.00 the quote

The other alternative was 9k for kaytech setup plus labor and if there was enough time to complete the cycle is unlnown..

What additional parts (in tank pump?) are required with Lingenfelter’s system: https://www.lingenfelter.com/product...l#.XZ4dI0QpCaM

It’s advertised as a 1400 HP / 1200 lb-ft capacity fuel system.

So its a fairly expensive setup and just wanted to find out what additional costs would be to make the port injection work on the EForce. More power just creates other problems so I'm good and if I break into the 9.20s this weekend on my low buck setup it will be awesome. I've already broken enough stuff with lower power. Good to go

L..

Doesn't matter if it's a procharger or eforce that's what it takes to do port on a DI car..

In the long run if your car stays together you will spend more on fuel. Or be forced to only drive it at the track at the power level your at now.

I know I'm comical.. it's just how you cope with me and the facts..

The zl1 is an expensive car I care to use mine everywhere and fill it up easily..

If you need race fuel for good numbers and sticky tires its not the power adder making the low eta's..

You want to put comparable tires on like my r888s and 93 in your tank with out meth and roll race will see what your blower with the mighty intercooler cores does..

Yep race fuel is expensive but has its advantages when your drag racing all the time like me. But its an easy swap back to 93 and can still run some meth/water if needed. Just swap out the pulley and belt, throw in my street tune and make 775 or so which is really not controllable on the street anyway and I don't mind my car just sitting on the lift during the winter, its paid for so I don't feel like I have to drive it if I don't want to. I don't really care what the dyno says and my MT street Rs do a good job at the track but what comes up on the board at the end of the track is what counts for me and hopefully a win light.

Comparable tires meaning DOT stamp? Both fill up on 92/93? (Then why discuss port injection at all?) Roll Race?

Let me know, I will run you for cash at TX2K under all the conditions you have arbitrarily demanded. Can match a side bet up to the cost of port injection and a Maggie combined.
