15" V6 Brakes for SS

I've heard that V6 brakes can be installed to save some $ on the 15" conversion. Has anyone does this, and ran Forgestar D5 beadlocks? Any information on if this is possible would be awesome. Thank you.

I've tried searching but no luck. Hopefully someone chimes in with experience doing so!

So I haven't done it but since nobody's chiming in I'll try to point you in the right direction.
If I remember right a couple of the guys from GPI did it including Ryan at one point. Not sure what 15's they ran but seems like they had to grind on the calipers after getting the correct LCA's or cutting on the ones they had. Can't remember what way they went there. Chris49066SS is only on here occasionally but probably remembers more than I do about it. Or if you are really fortunate someone else who has done it will give some pointers. I know somewhere here on C5 it's talked about what was done to make it happen. Sorry couldn't be more help but certain it can be done. GL

I spoke with the guys at GPI on this last year. They used the stock LCAs and had to do quite a bit of grinding on the LCAs and trailing arms but were able to clear the wheels they used, but theirs were Welds. If I were doing mine, and I am eventually, I would/will just spend the money so I can do lightweight brakes and Welds and save rotational mass the first time and not have to spend money twice. Good luck with this though, its a good idea if you can get it to work.

Not trying to hijack here, but my question (and maybe the OP's) was not so much about suspension. I have no problem buying the BMR Drag pack with LCAs and trailing arms that fit 15inch wheels.

I just wanna know if V6 brakes can be swapped out for my SS brembos fairly easily, and clear 15inch wheels.

I remember them saying something about having to do a little bit of modification to the V6 calipers but nothing too crazy that you wouldn't be able to do yourself. I would have went this route had I not decided on the Aerospace lightweight brakes. The best thing would be to give GPI a call and ask how that was done then you'd have the info right from the horse's mouth

Will do sir. Thank you for that. ELesthree you are exactly right my man! I already have everything needed. Just deciding if I need $650 brakes or if I can get some V6 ones and just grind a little.
