Ride Height After Pedders Xa

I just installed my Pedders Xa Coilovers and I'm currently sitting at ~645 mm at all four corners with a variation of 5 mm max. This is the measurement from the bottom of the rim to the fender.

Now my question is, should the ride height be equal as I have it (front vs. rear), or should the front be lower (by 6 mm or so)?

What are you trying to accomplish.My is setup for street/road course,650mm F&R with stock tires.I think Pedders says the Camaro handles best 10mm lower in the rear.Get a wheel alignment & time the bushings & final ride height all at the same time.Be careful with your ride height, I've scraped the under carriage hard a couple of times!Pedders has good Tech Support,call them?

I will indeed try to reach out to Pete. I just timed my bushings and my rear dropped to 618-620 mm. It was 645 prior to timing the bushings... But now my front is higher than my rear. I'd prefer to have the front raked lower, at least level throughout.

IMO you are too low at 645. Set it to 660mm all around.

Want to hear something funny? I recently timed the bushings and the car fell to 618-620 mm in the rear. :O How much is the drop at 645 and 660 from stock?

Also, whats the right way to lower the front coilovers? Do I need to have a wrench on top of the strut while I'm spinning the lock rings?

The rear is my primary concern. Running that low the IRS geometry is not optimal and the shaft angle is intense. At 660mm you'll still be low 30mm inches lower than OE in the front and close to 40mm in the rear.

Changing the ride heights is the same process for Xa or Supercars.



Raise the vehicle to take the load off the wheels.

RAISE RIDE HEIGHT
FRONT
1. Loosen locking ring C at the clevis.
2. Use your spanner on ring B and turn the ring counter clockwise to screw the monotube body out of the clevis.
3. The front adjustment is almost exactly one to one. Each thread is about 1mm
4. Tighten ring C

REAR
1. Loosen locking ring F at the clevis.
2. Use your spanner on ring E and turn the ring counter clockwise to screw the monotube body out of the clevis.
3. The front adjustment is about 1.2 to one. Each thread is about 1.2mm
4. Tighten ring F

Alright. Thanks. I was spinning "A" instead of "B".

I will raise my rear. I didn't want it to fall down that much. It remained high before timing the bushings. I will raise it up to about 660 as soon as I can.

Sorry to bump am old thread but is it 660mm from the ground to the center edge of the wheel well? I just installed some supercar coilovers and looking to set my ride height. Thanks

If you have 20” wheels it’s 660 from the bottom of the wheel rim to the top of the well arch. Rear is most important especially if you race due to axel issues at that angle. Front not so much.
