That was the only thing the 2V mod motor was good for! The 2V mod motor did sound good with just about any exhaust combo but it was all bark and no bite!

No confusion here. My previous car was a 2014 ZL1 (loved it) but had to have the Shelby for its uniqueness. My next car will be a 2018 ZL1. No brand loyalty here. I just like great fast cars. And the GT350 still sounds outstanding.

Both actually outside getting driven to me the ZL1 sounds better. The GT350 is unique sounding but more so in a European sense of the word, whereas the ZL1 sounds like American muscle!

It is the track results which matter most. Most folks don't spend $70k for a sound.

Well this is Camaro forum so the ZL1 could sound like a Prius and it'd still sound better

STOCK VS STOCK GT350 sounds better hands down.

then again the NPP style stock exhaust is not the best sounding exhaust. I lived with it on my Zl1 but my hellcat sounded better. on my C6Z both corsa and borla sounded better than factory NPP on my zl1 to me.

anybody who buys a car based on exhaust sound is insane though. there are a so many aftermarket exhaust options for any car they all can be made to sound wicked.

I think due to the fact that the Mustang can rev to a descent RPM it sounds better...

They have better raised the rev limited on the 6th gen ZL1. If it's as low as the 5th gen ZL1...I would go Ford.

You can't
Compare the two in these videos case closed. The environment that Al O was in for these was crap. Under a tent with "baffles" via people and equipment all around. Some
Say that it was also not in full mode.

Bottom line is until you hear it in person side by side in a same environment it's unfair to compare the two.

I've heard a Z06 16 start up side by side my 16 Z51 and it's like a jet starting up.

You need a fair comparison here for the Shelby vs ZL1 to make things on a level playing field.

For the guys that get yours first, do us a fav, run by one of those coffee for mustang things where they crash their cars all the time leaving and get some sound. Lol

Then compare it to yours then post.

I've heard ZL1 passing by on highway with my windows down (yes, they were on the road already in MI), and I've heard GT350 on the track. Not exactly fair comparison (ZL1 accelerating little on highway vs GT350 WOT on track), but I still like the GT350 sound better.

If I were to choose between two cars, I'll still go with ZL1 though. Mean sound is cool and all, but I would still choose faster car
