JLT CAI is now available.

Looks like a solid unit. 120mm(5") opening and the price is really good. Custom tune is required. Discuss!

One of the only ones that supposedly "worked" on the S550 5.0's.

I had one on my 2014 Camaro with an LS3. I had that, a rather aggressive 93 octane tune and 2” headers with no cats and NPP. Managed to put down ~440whp. If they had come out with this sooner, I’d have that instead of the Rotofab I have now.

I'm glad I waited on buying a CAI. This might be the one.

The only thing I don’t like about JLT’s cold air setups for our cars, is the heat shield. It takes a bit of massaging to get it to sit just right. Outside of that, it’s a 120mm MAF, if I remember correctly. It’s a tune-required CAI. Please don’t slap this thing on here without a proper tune to account for that difference in diameter.

One thing I noticed in the marketing is the filter size of this intake. It matches what comes with the CAI, CAI / GM CAI in height and width.

The tube opening to 5” I’d have to measure for comparison but if I’m remembering right, it isn’t much different a measurement either.

Yea after further research I noticed that too. I still like the RotoFab dry but I am going to sit back and wait for results to come in on this one. The price and the option for a dry filter makes it more appealing to me then the CAI/GM unit.

The only other option I can see being any better than the rotofab could possibly be a vararam unit. I emailed them yesterday and they replied today saying they may have some images ready before Xmas and they are developing one right now

Something you may want to wait on..

I'd pass on the JLT, never cared for them for the Mustangs. Roto-fab all the way.

Also like Ultra said if vararam is working on a CAI, definitely would wait for that before you choose.

Come to think of it you don’t hear about vararam and mustangs. Are they offered ?

I’ll be tempted to try one out at the track as I don’t think a dyno will show the whole picture of one.
