I just spoke to the ordering manager at my dealership and even though I'm not getting mine yet, it says somewhere around 40 2ss allocation nationally. I want to say 20? ZL1 without track whatever and only 2 with it. Didn't see the pdr constraints. Gives me a bit of hope for a 2ss at least, some is better than none

The PDR is off constraint this week and my order still wasn't picked up.
When I pressed the sales manager, he told me they haven't received an allocation since September. Despite that being the very first question I asked in October. Looks like I'll be getting in line for a '23. At another dealer.

Just spoke with my sales manager and we have constraints on the 2ss, zl1 with and without extreme track performance, v6, and 3lt. National quantity 2ss is 19, zl1 with 1, zl1 without 24, v6 24, 3lt is 19. This was for the production period 2/21 - 2/27

I just got off the phone with my dealer, He said they can not get my 2SS and offered me a 1SS build as equivalent they can, yes it’s $5000 cheaper but not really the car I want. Should I hold out for a 2SS? Call other dealers? Or just settle so I can get something.

Only you know if you will be happy settling for less. Right now I’m sticking to what I want and have been waiting 4 1/2 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why do you say a 1ss is a big no no?

Safety stuff, the rear view camera, etc, are big selling points to some. Me included.

Yes, I'd love the 2SS extras but the fact is when you have no Camaro (and a lot of time to overthink options etc.) these all feel like a big deal but as many have stated in this forum, once you actually have the car, it's actually just a few extras that you really appreciate (and those few "non-negotiables" differ between owners).
Historically I've always been the one to wait and get the exact spec I wanted but in the current market, my wife encouraged me to get the 1SS now and be happy and given practically zero depreciation at the moment, I could always swap it out for a 2SS later if I really feel I'm missing out on something. This freedom actually led me to compare the models in detail and I actually think all the core stuff I really want I get with the 1SS so think I'll be happy! With all that said, it looks like 2SS production might be stepping up based on latest numbers shared this week - I just know many dealers have a backlog of orders lined up...

Does a zl1 have more constraints than a 2ss 1le? I can’t see it having anymore chips..
