Good luck at nationals! It was nice to see the latest Sports Car magazine has listed several contributors to this thread as strong contenders.

I won't be contending for anything at Nationals, but I'll be there for the first time! I'm registered in BS and looking forward to it. In the meantime, I do get to contend a bit at the local level. I got a win in CAM-C (chose that this year because we have weak BS attendance and I have a bunch of friends in CAM) yesterday. This was a relatively small-car course with four slaloms (a couple were fairly closely spaced) and almost no place for power to make up for the size. This run was good for 8th fastest raw time and 4th fastest PAX index time out 119 entries. Five of the seven faster cars were Miatas, one was a prepped and well-driven Tesla 3, and one was a modded Evo boost buggy. So I'm pretty happy with my result.

I'll be there for the Pro Finale, Nats, and the CAM challenge - come introduce yourself! Also, come check out the big wheel pro solo on Tuesday at the Spokes Biergarten on row 11!

I'll be there for the first time and its my co drivers first time too. Wanted to do the CAM challenge but have to get back home for work. What spot are you in? I'm in Row 4 space 16A. We are 59/159 CAM-C.

Got the win yesterday and top pax. My 4th top pax out of 5 local events. We've had a few big guns show up here and there as well. I made 1 change to the car an it seems to have helped tremendously. I filled the gas tank lol. I've been trying hard to get weight out of the car but I should have been focused on getting better f/r balance. The front end has always felt better than the rear. I can get the rear to step out at will most times. Now it seems to be more planted.

This was what Sam Strano's take was as well. The weight helps plant the back and gets the power down.

Speaking of Sam Strano I'll be racing him Friday and Saturday at UMI's King of the Mountain event. He's driving some alien car though. An SSM car on tw200's. Massive aero, super light, 315 yoks etc. Last time I was a 38.8 to their 37.9, hopefully I can crack the top-8 and make the night show.

Agreed. The car feels a bit more trustworthy throttling out of corners with a full tank. I tend to run full for asphalt but half tank or less on concrete seems to work well for me.

Only as I just tickled that one cone going onto the straight!

I recently figured this out, and it definitely helps on low grip asphalt.
