The 2" headers will always give you more trouble. Try loosening the knuckle and you will probably need to put a dimple in the tube.

Is there only the one bolt to loosen it?

1 crimp bolt on steering shaft, then slides apart. Do not let anyone spin the shaft or steering wheel while it is apart.

I installed mine on jack stands and had no issues. You have to install from the bottom. Passenger side no issues and left the spark plugs in driver side I had to disconnect the steering wheel knuckle and remove the spark plugs. Other than that I had no issues.

I installed 1 7/8" and didn't have an issue with the steering column.

BUT, I did have an issue with the headers lining up with the factory exhaust. There was a lot of swearing and forcing, but I got it eventually. Almost 4 years and no issues at all.

I personally couldn't stand the little (tick, tick) exhaust leak coming from the cats and the fact that it necks down to the factory exhaust diameter. I welded some V-bands up and replaced the faux cats with 3' stainless. All leaks gone!

I ran into the same fitment issue, it will go, just try multiple different angles/approaches.

Does anyone have information on torque numbers for all of the things related to replacing the headers? Also more information about the steering knuckle if that needs to be moved?
