Factory CAI Tune?

My 2019 SS 1LE came from the factory with the GM Performance cold air intake. I have read in various places that this intake may or may not require a tune. My question is does it require a tune, and if so, would they have done it at the factory, or do I need to get my dealer to do it?

The GM CAI does require a tune modification to adjust the MAF calibration. If the CAI was installed from the factory then the tune should have been done at the factory too.

The GM CAI is a dealer installed item, at least it was on the 16-18 models. It comes with a calibration code that the dealer is supposed to use to load a new "tune" (really just a slightly modified MAF calibration) after installation. You should also have received your original intake box and tubing when taking delivery.

The intake was listed on the window sticker so I assume it was installed at the factory. Or does it not always work that way? They didn't give me any stock intake hardware. I will talk to them about it. Thanks.

It can be ordered on the factory order, the dealer who gets the car is responsible for installing it as part of the PDI process.
