Finished up the header and xpipe install today. Seem to have a small amount of air leaking out of each clamp down the exhaust. Is there anything I should keep in mind when clamping down the exhaust pieces?

I always use a thin layer of exhaust sealant when putting the exhaust together. No leaks this way...

Thanks for the help! Will be addressing this next week. Other then the small leaks I think I’m rubbing on the brace under the x-pipe, hoping i don’t have to dent the piping to make the clearance. Sounds great though

It's appreciated, either way whether I go the warranty friendly mod route or just stay stock till I'm ready to void the warranty, I'll be going with Speed engineering. Gotta support companies with such fair prices and results!

Will just the headers bolt directly up to our existing exhaust with our stock cats?

No long tube header will bolt up to the stock cats....the collector length is too long. That is why the factory uses a mid-length header keeping the primary cat and o2 sensor as close to the engine as possible for proper operating temps.

That's awesome! Will make it even easier to go to long tubes when the time comes, as they'll bolt right up.

Put me on the list to buy when they're ready

This will allow us to give it a trial run for you guys at minimal cost to us. With both the x-pipe and connection pipes we should be able to keep the full length kit between 250-300.00. We are currently buttoning up our truck project. Once its complete we'll throw a 6th Gen on the lift, and start working on a prototype.

Thanks

Nice! Looking forward to it.

Switch to preformed band clamps.
