Yea, I think a headband would be best

Regarding the 455lbs torque

Yes this!! I’m still trying to learn and expirement about this, I do think the A10 in the ZL1 downshifts very very quickly from cruising, idk if it skips straight to the correct gear, or the transmission is downshifting very quickly through the gears, I’ve never driven or sat in a ZL1 before. I’ve seen videos on that Autobahn youtuber driving a 1000hp biturbo R8. He was cruising in S7 in auto, floors it, then it goes from S7 to S4 in a literal instant. That’s the shifting speed I’m trying to look into, there isn’t even a DCT in that

Go trade your SS in for a ZL1 and problem solved.

That will do the trick.

To be quite honest, that is my current goal, I’m working on that as I pay my SS balance in half and use it as a trade in, then put an additional $5k-8k down payment on a used $50-55k ZL1.

Get the A10 and leave it in auto, don't use manual mode. If you mash the gas, it will drop from 10 to 4 or whatever gear it needs. I think it will be perfect for someone like you

Oh my, I thought you were going to bash me for going for a ZL1 after everything I’ve been through on these forums and being the website’s “clown” lol. How quick does it downshift? Is it true it’s quicker than a DCT? The Camaro in general is my dream car, and I have it now, never knew much about gears and how they worked, started to learn more and more; and have the SS, I still wanna work towards the baddest Camaro trim (ZL1/1LE) I definitely would look into the A10, idk if it’s the same exact A10 in the 19+ SS, or if it’s the same, but detuned?

it probably depends on the DCT. Quicker than some older ones for sure. It's fast enough for sure!

Well, with the assistance of the blower’s immediate response due to running off the belt line, and the A10, I’m sure this thing responds and guns way differently than my SS for sure, plus the 195 HP and torque difference, car hangs with GTR’s and hellcats.

It's your money and your time, but given all that was said in this thread, I'd make sure to test drive a ZL1 first (leaving the trans in auto mode).

No Chevy dealer would ever let me(a 21 year old male) test drive a 650HP vehicle, I’d love to see and feel what 650HP in an A10 trans is like compared to my 455 A8
