Wonderful. I like the shorter tire and it works for me at my current power level. This is nothing but a lil mild bolt on car. My 60fts are consistent as hell, no matter what track I run at. Ran at Fest last week, and my 60fts mirrored my 60fts up here in MD. I could care less how the tire looks in terms of filling up the fender well, all I care about when it comes to performance items, is does it work. I run a 28in on my 5th Gen. As for the 6th Gen, even when I do Heads Cam, I will still run the shorter tire.

Boom! 26" club Hookin and bookin!

Did you have to mess with the TCM tune to get the 26 inch tire setup to run right at the track?

I currently am running a 305/40/R18 in the rear (almost 29 inch a bit too tall) running stock front wheels/tires and want to switch to a setup just like yours for the track. But before I drop the $$$$ I had a few questions and not many 6th gen guys have used this setup yet.

I was wondering if I would have to get the TCM tweaked again or else it will be having issues with torque management, shift points, power reduction/Throttle closure, ABS issues or any other issues that will limit the car at the track?

Also what kind of time improvements have you seen from this setup and do you think I'll have traction issues at 550 rwhp?

Thanks,
-Jon

All Trans table are stock except for turning Torque Mgt off throughout. I have not had any issues running the shorter tire setup, although I read some do. I generally pull the two ABS fuses, if it does start acting up. That solves the issue immediately, but ur dash lights up fully and no power steering. Not an issue for me at the track tho.

Traction issue depends on the track. Your power level should be no problem, but track prep is very different everywhere.

Thanks very much for the info and the reply ... I'm going to jump on the 26 inch tire setup and hopefully that will be enough for me to crack into high 10s once the nice weather returns .... I only need a little bit of an improvement almost there already in the heat/humidity.

From what I've gathered I'll have to spend the cash on 26 for the front as well? If not I'll have abs problem or something ?
Yea, keep the difference less than 1" or else stabilitrack won't like it. I would shoot for 1/2 " or less.

OP with the M6 gearing I want 26" too. I am so tempted. It's just a PIA to swap all 4 tires in my garage. But then I do have a Rav4 beater. Do you drive to the track in that setup?

Could someone please post up the correct Race Star part numbers for the wheel setup the OP showed off in Grey as there are so many variations and I want to make sure I'm getting the correct wheels for my 2016 SS plus I'm ready to purchase.

Also what else will be needed for me to bolt these on (lug kit and etc ?).

Thanks,
-Jon

I can't get a solid answer on that either. I just want to know what wheel size fits the rear. Are the SS and 1LE rears same caliper AND rotor size? I have seen mention the calipers are the same but are the rotors the same? I'm hoping to go 17" but want to know if anyone with 1LE has done so. And please bear with me I'm an evolving noob!

You will find that the 26" tire is too short. Going to be very hard to hook with that.
