Theres a permanent fix by putting Shell transmission fluid along with some friction modifier. I'm assuming that your car was made before the fix.

I'd get it done ASAP.

Rev

2018 RS v6 A8.

My RPM's fluctuate up and down about 200 rpm's worth while cruising.. it's almost like someone is Humming. Up and Down Up and Down. Just started doing it recently like 2 weeks ago.. Has 51k Miles. I have had 0 engine lights since I've had it.. I've done no services to the engine or any flushes.. I'm wonder if the cone I hit going 70 damaged the welding on my custom exhaust and is causing the issue. When I took the camaro in for a oil change.. the dealership wants to check ( passenger compartment air filter, engine air filter, engine cooling system, fuel system/evap system ) Only one that could maybe cause that issue IMO is engine air filter ?

IDK

I put GM ACdelco fuel treatment and filled up on SHELL 89 to clean out the tank to see if it makes a difference.

Sounds like the beginnings of the well known A8 shudder issue. If this hasn't yet been done on the car, have a dealership perform TSB 18-NA-355 and see if that helps. At 50K+ miles, the torque converter may also be damaged, but get the TSB done first, it's a must no matter what. If that fixes the problem, but it returns later, you may need a new torque converter.
