Loose door handle

My door handles on the outside of the car move from front to back, more on the driver side than the passenger side. Is this normal? Can you guys please check your handles? When the door is closed locked or unlocked you can move the handle back and forth about 1/8"

They do wiggle a bit, which is normal. If you think they're especially loose, though, you can check the Torx bolt that holds them on. Check here: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455569

Loose door handle

Thank you for the thread showing the torx bolt. The part that is loose on my handle is the part you grab. Is the torx bolt for the rear of the handle with the lock cylinder or for the part you grab?

Did you ever find the cause for this? My car arrived today & both handles slide. I checked 4 cars at the dealer and they all did the same.

Ditto here. Just went into the garage and checked. Had the car almost a year and never noticed that. I am assuming it is "normal", so not going to worry about it.......

you aren't alone at all cuz it is designed to move that way, like it or not, it just is.

ok, well at least on my two 2017 Chevy vehicles (6 door handles in total all move). Have you found one on the lot that doesn't move?
