All Season Tire Review : Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus

Just ordered these from TireRack

The real world gains were reflected in a 2017 Tire Rack comparison test where the Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus once again faced off against the ExtremeContact DWS 06 (and Pirelli's latest).

This time around the winter performance difference was razor thin, but it was the Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus that led the way in key tests like braking performance in snow and ice conditions. The Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus also proved superior in acceleration traction in the same conditions. The Continental edged the Michelin on snowcross lap time.

I posted this because I know lots of people don't want all season tires to replace their summer performance tires.

Its totally not relevant to the the winter and Camaro stock tires.

I've had them on my car now for about 4,000 miles. Absolutely love them and recommend to everyone who wants to enjoy their Camaro year-round without worrying about Heavy rain or even light snow! These have plenty of grip no matter what the weather is. No hydro-planing, no harsh ride, and Michelin's 45,000 warranty is great!

You get what you pay for and Michelin is without a doubt the best you can buy for a road going Camaro driven in somewhere that isn't 70 and Sunny year-round.

For you, though, isn't the warranty mileage half of that due to the staggered tire setup? Or are you running the same size at all 4 corners?

Not saying it seems like a bad tire by any means, was looking at them myself to replace the original summer tires on my 2017 sometime next year, but that is typically a penalty for the OE setup.

have had these on the Camaro 2SS for about 3 days now - so far so good - been driving I'm wet weather of about 40-50 degrees. Tires are noticeably more quiet than stock run-flats.

They also feel much better on wet pavement. Notice much more grip on wet pavement and I have much more confidence taking her out in the cold.

I'll try to post more of a review when I get more miles on the tires.

I just got the same tires for my 1SS almost 3 weeks ago. My observations mirror yours 100 percent.

Very happy with them.

I ordered a set for my 2SS. The fronts wont come till this coming week but I got the rears put on a spare set of wheels Friday and have 120 miles of wet weather driving on them as of this AM.

Huge difference in the rain. No comparison for the stock F1 RFs (8k miles on the OEM F1s).

They are quieter as well but the proof will be when the fronts go on. Meantime the car even with just the PS 3+ on the rears is transformed in heavy rain.

The OEM F1s stay on the rims as I'll swap them in the summer months. The instability of the F1s in steady downpours and light standing water was starfish puckering.

Much better now, even with just the rears.

Means nothing to us being tested on a BMW. How do they handle on a Camaro?
