Are you happy with the sound and quality otherwise? I'm still debating between this and the Borla S-type. I want to keep NPP functionality

Yes it sounds excellent and there is a significant different in volume between valves closed/open.

Two pretty different sounding exhausts. The flowmaster will be deeper sounding and probably a little louder with the valves open

I was looking for something deeper. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger, but the NPP and 6th gen's aren't easy to find a good exhaust for! Every other car I owned there were 2 or 3 clear winners, but this seems to be a whole other beast.

Installed the new exhaust, same issue.

Edit*

After driving the car and logging some miles, I can say it is actually better then the other exhaust. It no longer has the same leaky sound after I have been driving it for a while. It does still have a slight hiss with the valves closed in park at idle that you can only hear when standing behind the car. I can live with that so case closed.
