Pretty cool story re my Zl1
So I’m driving to Az from Houston (yes work related) in my Zl1. I left yesterday afternoon and pretty much cruised at 85 90% of the trip. I got to the border checkpoint on 10 west in New Mexico and the bp agent could not help admiring the z. He asked if I opened it up any which I admitted that it might or might seen triple digits recently lol. He asked if it were the supercharged one which I nodded yes. He told me if I wanted that there is a beautiful long stretch past the canopy and no cops are near and to have fun without losing it. Needless to say I happily took him up on the offer and did a nice 15 roll to 150 lmfao! It was a pure blast and he enjoyed the show I’m going to assume. Anyway that was my adventure for the day. I love this thing although if my trackhawk was ready (it’s getting mods) I would have taken that instead. Be safe everyone

You must have been on that bypass road that dips into Mexico

Right now is a perfect time to let these cars eat! Roads are empty around here!!! 150 in these cars feels like 80 to me! It sure gets there quickly!!! Have fun and be safe!

That's awesome! I recently moved from Houston to Scottsdale and that drive is brutal. I would have been 100+ the entire way in my ZL1.. safe travels

Good story... I rarely go over 100 on public roads, but once when I was younger and more foolish... I did a sustained 140-145 for awhile with the top down in my E46 M3 on a nice road through Death Valley, you could see the empty smooth road ahead for miles.
My ZLE has seen 160 many times on the front straight at Auto Club Speedway. |

Yes guys I’m a sucker for road trips in fun cars hence why I jumped at the opportunity lol. There’s no way I could have a boring car (well besides my 04 rendezvous that I seldom drive). We are truly lucky to drive what we do (including ss’s). Stay safe guys I’m abt to bed down (been a long 1400 miles in 1.5 day).
