P275/40R17 on Weld 17x10's a direct fit on the Gen6 ZL1?

I was looking at the S77 Weld wheels in 17x10 on WeaponX's website and wanted to double check that with NT05Rs or MT ETS or ETR's in 275/40R17's would direct fit over rear OEM brakes and the MRC suspension.

I will be running 255/35R19 front tires on APEX 19x10 fronts so no worries about tire height differences, will only be 0.3 to 0.4 difference front to back.

Thats a really small tire compared to a 305/45 17, 2 inches shorter. It would put gear in the car which in theory should get it to 60 foot quicker! You have me rethinking my setup now! I only use mine at the track... puts the OEM stuff on for the street. The sidewall isnt as tall though... almost an inch difference.

Thx. Also looking at 315/35R17's for the NT05R, same tire height but 11 wide vs 9.5. Would just need to get a 10.5 wide rim minimum, ideally a 17x11.

Anyone know what offsets on a 17x10.5 or 17x11 Weld wheel work without issues in the rear?

Probably stick with the 17x10 and put on a 305/45/17 ET street R.

Oh wait, you are talking about the rear tires? My bad I didn’t see that anywhere in the post. Those would be for the tears when drag racing.

Why are you running such small tires on the car?

Weight, gear multiplication in the rear, requires similar sizes in the front. Sidewall is similar to stock, overall diameter is down for tires/wheels to reduce inertial resistance and drop weight.

For drag racing that will be a skinny tire to have in the back.

Yea I am looking more at the 315/35R17 setup, just need to find an appropriate 17x11 rear wheel that fits without issues.

If your running a Shorter tire on the rear then stock and trying to launch it in 1st its going to be hard to hook it. A10 has a lower 1st gear then the A8 and its low. Short side wall on a drag car just doesn't work that well. Some get away with it on an NA car but a SC car just hits the tire to hard with instant boost, NA cars don't do that. A 28" tall tire works the best on a SC car for sure and your going to be at 25.7.

Yea it doesn't make sense to run a tire that has an inch less sidewall height than stock. If you're worried about the gear then you can always change gears, but I promise you'd be better off running a taller/wider tire. The front side doesn't effect the speedo or your gearing btw.

Not sure what you mean by an inch less sidewall height than stock. Stock is 305/35R20 which has a 4.2" sidewall and a 315/35R17 radial is a 4.3" sidewall. Overall tire diameter and wheel diameter is proportionately smaller front and back, but the sidewalls are comparable.
