Drag racing tomorrow. Please help

So the car makes more power now. 780/800. Car made before 612/642 and ran 11.1 at 129. That was on R888Rs. I now have 305/45/17. This will be my first pass ever with drag radials.

Things I need to know

What settings do I put the car at?
What PSI should I start the rear tires?
Front tires are 295/30/20, what tire pressure?
How long of burnout?

Anything else would be appreciated.

Every car is different, every day temp and humidity is different, and every track is different.
Get a notebook, browse some of the drag/ launch threads to get a base line and record what you did and changes you make.
See if you get some tips from racers in the pits

Start at 17 and keep incrementing by 1psi to 21 until it spins. You want the higher psi with traction.

Front keep higher
Good idea, thanks

fronts at 40 psi...start with rears at 19-20 and adjust in 1 psi increments to a min of 16. My opinion is to start with a slightly higher pressure because you will be above 130mph and the rear may be a bit squirrely on the top end.

Default via the screen...exhaust to track (if applicable) and suspension to tour. Turn off traction control/stabilitrak with a 5 sec hold of the TC button. Put mode switch in "track" and launch in D. Let the computer shift itself...no paddles. Burnout 3 seconds and roll forward with the wheels spinning, pull to line, stage, & go. Don't get too crazy with launch rpm and brake torque to 1100rpm or so to load the car. Adjust launch rpm depending upon available traction. Good luck.

20psi would be my lowest on a track with a street car that has high trap speeds

Turn all the nannies OFF! hold that button down for 8 seconds.
Put it in touring mode
Pump them up as much as they will hold!
New tires? it will take a pretty good burnout to get them sticky!
Leave off of idle and see what it will do then leave at like 1500.
The higher the pressure the better on the M/T start at 19 and see if it hooks
Good luck!

Report back! You should be in the 9's if it hooks! a 1.4X 60 foot would be nice!

My best et at 9.41@146 w/1.35 60 ft came with 19 psi in the rear 305-45-17 MT Rs. Start my burn out in 1st at about 6000 rpms and then once there spinning and starting to smoke shift it into 2nd gear and once it starts to bring the rpms down let off the brake and head to the line. Just roll thru the water a couple feet and then start your burnout. If you start it in the water in ends up in the liner and then drips down on you slicks and won't hook like it will if you do your burn out past the water. Don't forget to put it back in drive at the line. Really embarrassing to forget that. Haha

Ugh, welcome to the club! Lol! BMR driveshaft loop is a no brainer if you don’t already have one. Here’s what my stock DS looked like:https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=564610
