I just put on some Toyo Proxes 4+ A/S on my SS, so far so good. Roughly 950 for all 4. Another option for the OP to look at.

Seriously, can you get that kind of life out of the Michelins? I don't think I've ever had a tire on any car make it to 45k miles!

Yep! That specific Michelin anyway. I can't say for sure on a Camaro SS, but as he said, with regular driving, no burnouts or tracking the car, I don't see why you wouldn't get 40-50k like on any other car. It's a good tire. Ranked #1 in it's category on tirerack I believe.

The biggest factor is rotation. Take the tires off the driven axle will do wonders for tire life.

Yep I do, they are decent tires, the aren't canyon carvers, but they handle well, they aren't drag tires, I have have lit off the traction control with them, but overall a good quiet tire with good life. The are excellent in the rain.

DWS and DWS06 are two different models.

are we talking about side-to-side rotation when it comes to staggered tire size? Don't know how to get my bigger tires moved to the front!

That's the problem with staggered wheels/tires. You can't rotate them. I don't think going from side to side does much of anything. Getting two extra rear wheels and mounting them on the front, so you have a square setup, is really the best option. From what I've heard, the cost of the wheels can get paid off within a set or two of tires.

What all season tires do you suggest? about how much should I expect to have to pay for them? Thanks!
OP you might be able to find a lightly used set of tires and wheels from an LT1 reasonably priced. These are all season, will bolt right on, and fit the SS nicely.

One thing about the SS - it's close to impossible not to spin the tires when giving it throttle in the lower gears. Especially on the summer tires under 50 degrees or so. The A/S tires probably stick better in cold temps but then likely spin easier during warmer weather. 45K on an SS might be optimistic... but sounds like they'd be the top A/S choice - for performance and treadwear.
