5th gen 1LE wheels on '17 SS
I have a few questions on this combo:
1. Anyone running these? If so, any fitment issues? 2. How much do these weigh compared to 6th gen SS 1LE wheels? 3. Are they forged? 4. What's the offset? Thanks!

This was the only info I could find for fitment:
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=436049 Additional info on 5th gen 1LE/ZL1 wheels: - Made by Alcoa - Forged Aluminum - Front: 20 X 10, 23 offset; p/n 22798740 stamped in (22798741 assembly), weight 28 lb - Rear: 20 X 11, 43 offset; p/n 22798742 stamped in (22798743 assembly), weight 28.6 lb - Weight links: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=289149 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219198 In comparison, here's info on 6th gen 1LE wheels: - Made by Dicastal - Forged Aluminim - Front Wheels (Part # 23355791) 20X10.0J Aluminum 20MM O/S 120x5xM14, weight 30.1 lb - Rear Wheels (Part # 23355802) 20X11.0J Aluminum 43MM O/S 120x5xM14, weight 30.75 lb Weight link: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=491825 Follow-up question: Will the 3mm offset difference in front (will poke out by 3mm less w/ 5th gen ZL1 wheels, but will inner part will also be 3mm further in) cause any interference / rubbing issue?

I think you will be alright with 5th Gen ZL1 wheels as long as you don't go too aggressive with the front camber. Even if you do, you can simply add a 2-3mm spacer up front
With +23mm offset (compared to 6th Gen 1LE wheels 20x10" +20mm) you actually don't poke out the wheels, actually put them 3mm closer to the struts. For the reference, after I put the 19x10.5 " +22mm Apex wheels my wheels extended 4mm further out and 8mm inside to compensate that I added 5mm spacer so it now sits 9mm furhert out and only 3mm inside (like your plan). In order to give -2.5 camber , however, I had my mechanic to do some grinding to the strut tabs which will probably not a case on your car

I'll be picking up a set of 5th Gen ZL1 wheels tomorrow for my 2016 2SS with Mag-Ride. I currently have a 275/40/20 Front and 305/35/20 Rear on factory 20x8.5 & 20x9.5 wheels. The fronts required a 3mm spacer to clear the spring perch since the tire is so tall. The rear did rub the carpet fender liner but I already relocated the harness. I will be curious to see if the 285/35/20 and 305/35/20 ZL1 OE wheel and tire setup will fit.

I need to have them balanced and the TPMS sensors swapped before I can install them. But I will try to get a test fit on tonight.

Installed last weekend. The fitment is tight up front and required a 5mm spacer to get comfortable clearance of the MRC strut. The Rear fit perfect with the 305 but still rubbed a bit. So I installed MPSS 285/35/20 on all 4 corners. This gives me a square setup for road course use. |

The 6th gen 1LE tire sizes 285/30/20 and 305/30/20 are shorter and should give enough clearance.
Thanks for posting those pictures!

Anyone else have 5th gen ZL1 wheels on their 6th gen. I'm interested in running 285/30/20 and 305/30/20 (stock 6th gen SS 1LE tires) and the recommended track alignment, but want to ensure there will be no rubbing. I don't want to use spacers.
Found some OEM 5th gen wheels that are reasonably priced, so reconsidering going his route.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I have found a good deal on a set of 5th gen ZL1 wheels and am curious if they'll fit on my '19 SS 1LE. I'd be mounting 285/30/20 fronts and 305/30/20 rears on them. Any insight you guys have is appreciated. Thanks.
